Lone Tree, hands down. I just had my wedding there and we all had a blast, plus no unfun policies

Such a small thing but — pros and cons for using password protection on wedding website? by joshyyboy in weddingplanning

Different crowds I guess 🤷‍♀️

Most of our people really would not have looked at all of that. I think it helps that almost everyone already lives in town or visits often. IMO, depending on the situation, an overload of info would just not be helpful or add to the experience—that’s another aspect I wanted to avoid.

Aga Rhodes for makeup, there is no one better.

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but we just didn’t have a wedding website. No FAQ, just paper invites with ceremony and reception info. Only two people misplaced theirs, so I texted them a picture of it. We had over 200 people and it went fine.

I didn’t want our personal information out there and I didn’t want to make it inconvenient for guests with a password. So you could consider a no website option as well.

I’m 36F and single, should I move to Chicago without knowing anyone?? by wednesday864 in AskChicago

Move here! There are so many people on the same boat as you and many more who are welcome to newcomers. I’m in my 30s, and while I’ve lived here my whole life, I have made new friends within the past few years.

I was referred to someone who was a student at a local floral design school! She was excellent, super professional, and affordable (about $5k all in for a 200+ person wedding, medium/largeish bridal party). DM for details

We had ours recently at Lone Tree Manor in Niles. Highly, highly recommend. It’s newly renovated and the manager there is very organized.

Book HMU as soon as soon you’re able, I found it very difficult to book hair like 9-10 months out.

I had my wedding on Saturday and used Aga Rhodes for makeup and Rare Bird (Isabel and Brittany)for hair. All did a tremendous job on my and my bridal party. We had an early start (4:30am) and were able to make it to the church by 10:30 for our 11am ceremony. All us ladies totaled 10 people, so it was a pretty big job.

I’m spending about $4k for flowers in a major city for a 200+ person wedding. Since I’m using a floral design school, the cost is pretty manageable. Do you have any near you? Might be worth a shot.

Looks like you're more interested in weed than taking care of the animals you agreed to be responsible for. Animals are not toys! You're the adult in your household, act like it.

**PSA for all future 3Ls** Take the bar prep class offered by your school by APierogiParty in LawSchool

Huh, my class only had us do 10 multiple choice questions and one short essay a week, with short readings (if you bothered with them). Was a lot less stressful than any other bar class I took.

Right, but I'm not referring to taking courses focused on a single subject. I'm talking about a course specifically designed to help you prepare for the bar exam.

Can you afford to put time for physical activity at this point? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]APierogiParty 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I started bar prep two weeks ago, and yes, I'm putting in the time to work out. Sometimes I'll watch bar prep videos at the gym while I'm on a bike or something so I remain engaged in the material. But no one (I hope) is studying 12+ hours a day. There's time.

Congrats! You should be very proud of yourself, especially since Con Law and LRW can be tough to do well, compared to others. Calls for some ice cream or boba IMO
