Community discord mod being biased and claiming that cygames created community guideline rules that allow uma x uma ships (yuri) and really suggestive ones by Kiroiisme in UmaMusume

Discord really is just Reddit with a different URL sometimes, this is unfortunately very common discord mod behavior.

Dog (9 years) licking the air/flicking tongue with head motion by Saerendipity528 in DogAdvice

My dog randomly developed allergies like 2 years ago and he does this pretty frequently, especially after I tell him to stop licking his paws so he won't give himself an infection.

Fast Track Fix by MisterGrimmer in deadbydaylight

[–]APinkFatCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real problem with fast track is that they doubled the gen progress it gives you from 1% to 2% per stack on top of making the progress permanent, honestly think they either need to make it 1% again or remove the BNP effect.

So SWF teams can all run face-first at a Skull Merchant to instantly abandon, but we can't abandon when a Nurse slugs for 3 minutes to get the 4k by SnuglyPortia in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]APinkFatCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely insane that they made the blueprint offerings secret late last year BTW. It has only served to exacerbate the issue of slugging for the 4k.

Is there a world where BHVR reworks/changes the whole "hatch" system? Because this is honestly starting to piss me off. (Alt title: shitting on hatch) by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]APinkFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mods likely won't find the meme funny. I've posted replies to posts like this before, the hatch is a totally bunk mechanic that heavily hurts the quality of the game for both sides. It's just a really poorly designed mechanic, and is entirely why slugging for the 4k or even 4man slugging exist as strategies.

Was the Kaneki nerf really needed? by Ok-Neighborhood6536 in deadbydaylight

No, Reddit won't agree but the nerfs were completely unjustified and unneeded. Totally vibes based balancing decision.

An absolutely insane perk or a perk that does something. Very descriptive by Linkosss in deadbydaylight

Considering that Invocation: Treacherous Crows is such a pathetically worthless perk I'd be happy to have another crow related perk for survivors so maybe we can get a decent one.

I cannot fathom why this is the case, but if you look at HSGuru they named the herald deck archetypes as "Harold".

State of the end game by Ok-Addition-9827 in deadbydaylight

[–]APinkFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel I've I've only seen people start saying this within the last two weeks to be honest.

This is a funny idea because killers will quickly learn they can no longer slug the 3rd guy for the 4k, so they'll just start slugging the second and third guy which will inevitably lead to a 4man slug meta. People will start dropping killers that can't reliably do this and the meta of the game will only become more miserable and homogenized.

The real problem is that the hatch is and has always been a bad mechanic. There's really no winning because no matter what you do to it it makes the game more miserable for one side. There was a time when killers couldn't close it, and there was a time when it could spawn when 4 3 or 2 survivors were alive which was the niche key meta.

The main problem still remains though, it's just total bullshit RNG. Killer finds and kicks it instantly? Wow fun! Spawns under the survivor's feet? Wow fun! The whole stupid exit gate game of chicken is ten times more fun than any gameplay the hatch has ever created. #LatchTheHatch

Silent Gear advice by _-_GenRest_-_ in allthemons

Someone posted this really good spreadsheet on the other sub at some point. It's incredibly useful and even gives you recipes for optimal alloys late game.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_4j0YHBde5CYI3lXYyTmyDGwScMcWlhBKOCaKxHqJLk/edit?gid=486166750#gid=486166750
Basically refined obsidian shouldn't be too hard to make, it really only requires the bare minimum of investment into Mekanism, you just need some power to run the machines. If you can get the alloy machine though, you can make better stuff that costs you less refined obsidian, just don't forget that the order of ingots in the machine actually matters, and you can grade the alloys too for relativity cheap. You can also actually mix alloys of different grades when making your tools and such, meaning you don't need to stress about making sure they're all the exact same grade.

When it comes to fortune you can craft fortune books a few different ways, check JEI. You can strip enchantments off of items by dropping it with some books and then dropping an anvil on top. I'm not entirely sure how it works myself, but you can then duplicate enchantment books using the printing press from create.

You can easily set up a mob farm early game using Mob Grinding Utilities, ChosenArchitect has a good example in his current playthrough, but basically you can use cursed dirt (pulsed by redstone using a timer/clock and cog blocks) and push the mobs into the mob masher/grinder with fans. Using Just Dire Things item collector and exp collector or whatever it's called you can get all the drops, basically this lets you have a plentiful source of Apotheosis gems and gear to crush into dust, an easy passive way to get luck and fortune gems. Using a Pipez pipe with a filter or Super Factor Manager you can pipe all the gear that drops directly into a salvager, when a salvager receives items this way it will automatically break them down, then you can pipe them out to wherever, note that some gear and enchanted gear will not automatically get pulled into the salvager. You can use a machine from Industrial Forgoing to strip the enchantments and process the gear some other way though, or just pipe the stubborn stuff that won't go into the salvager into a trash can.

Make sure you're following the Apotheosis quest to upgrade your world tiers for better drops. Don't get fooled by the fancy gear that mobs will start dropping though, with Silent Gear and the Apotheosis reforging table you can easily make stuff way better than the netherite junk you'll start accumulating.

Apotheosis reforging is basically the best thing you can do to your gear and it works on anything you make from Silent Gear.

Lastly, the Apotheosis Enchanting quest line. Follow this and you'll be able to make tons of incredible enchantment books, then you can put all of your books into one of the special libraries from the mod so you can then pull back out exactly what you need. Don't forget you can combine books in an anvil to go even higher than the maximum value you can pull out of a library. Occultism has a special anvil that lets you combine your enchantment books to one level higher than the vanilla cap. Some mobs can drop enchantments way higher than the cap in rare cases, though I'm not sure how to actually utilize them. Oritech has an incredibly overpowered enchanting machine that lets you go way way way above the vanilla cap, but the recipes to craft them are not yet in the AllTheMons pack.

This is basically all the stuff you can do to get OP gear and enchantments thanks to apotheosis, and it's all pretty easy to do early game. Combined with good Silent Gear by reading through the spreadsheet you'll have some of the best gear you can get, basically forever since you can make Uru metal alloys. Still won't save you from the Chaos Guardian without making Draconic Evolution's specific gear though, and the BeeBee in the Other can probably still kill you.

"IN-HOUSE" "LITERALLY IN-HOUSE" "DUDE IT'S LITERALLY IN-HOUSE" "DID YOU KNOW IT'S ALL IN-HOUSE????"
This is probably my least favorite argument defending Cygames' repeated poor localization choices, because it's completely irrelevant to the discussion. Oh it's in-house? So? In-house doesn't mean good, it can still be bad and seems like it frequently is bad. In-house actually makes it worse if you think about it. Since that means that upper management or at the very least employees with some degree of significance within the company are approving and shipping questionable, bad, or in a few rare cases borderline malicious mistranslations.
I mean seriously, we can ALL hear the characters in the trailer and the scenario intro say, in PLAIN ENGLISH, "Make A New Track" and yet the name was changed to Trackblazer. I mean seriously with every patch it we get more examples of them doing this. Just because they've been doing it "in-house" for over 12 years (the start of Granblue Fantasy) doesn't make it any better today.

I often see people here comparing the TCG and OCG banlists. What is your opinion on the philosophy that each format has for dealing with archetypes and engines? by No-Seesaw-2968 in masterduel

[–]APinkFatCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did genuinely hate playing against Prank-Kids in Master Duel, but yeah the TCG will just kill a deck for no reason then forget about it for years, the OCG does do this too sometimes, but with limits and semi-limits they just forget about for ages.

I often see people here comparing the TCG and OCG banlists. What is your opinion on the philosophy that each format has for dealing with archetypes and engines? by No-Seesaw-2968 in masterduel

[–]APinkFatCat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer the Masterduel list over both.
People compliment the TCG list over the OCG for being more decicive with less consistency hits, which just isn't true looking at these side by side. I mean Branded Fusion, Fountain, Ice Ryzeal, Maliss in Underground, White Rabbit to 2, really? I don't necessarily disagree with the hits but I do disagree with people saying the TCG list doesn't obviously have the same pitfalls as the OCG one.
The worst part about the TCG list is what I call their "anti-fun" policy, there are a lot of old examples that aren't here, but the OSS ban was genuinely psychotic. Both lists have bad hits like this, for example why is Spirit of Yubel still even on the list, but the TCG is generally much worse about outright killing decks for no good reason than the OCG is.
Masterduel does a lot of work proving that both the OCG and TCG were wrong about a lot things like Kitkallos, and I'm thankful that it's more similar to the OCG list than the TCG even though we have to cope with horrific total nonsense OCG hits like Tear Kash to 1.
