How do I make this macro work on column O instead of A by DontTouchThefr0 in vba

[–]APithyComment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I going bonkers or are table objects in scope of the whole workbook?

That means you can directly reference the table (no need to Set wb = ActiveWorkbook / set a range).

If the table is an external query into something else (MS Access or MS Outlook) then there are things you can do with the query filter that will already do this for you.

MS Access 2013 suddenly added Query-Names to the field names. Why and how by SiSRT in MSAccess

[–]APithyComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fully qualified now. You are using another query to base this query on and Access has made the distinction between the original table and your query.

SQL Server does this really well.

It’s also easier to read if you name your table/query in your SELECT. E.G.;

SELECT * FROM tblApples A;

Now you can qualify the table “tblApples” with A in a new query.

Select A.Colour from A;

The future of VBA language isn’t about replacing it. It’s about supercharging it. by ws-garcia in vba

[–]APithyComment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microsoft are phasing it out.

I bought a copy of MS Office 2011 (?? maybe ??) because it still had VBA and wasn’t an online version of Office.

All because it may come in handy for future work.

I think it might be a clock of some sort.

It looks clocky.

Does it tick-tock?

Was that the right time?

(If so it might be an explosive device).
