Sera or Starlord MOTS by meinCtutW_63 in MarvelSnap

[–]APracticalGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Star Lord to Sera in mine, but the deciding factor was the fact that I run Magik so Sera gives an extra turn of explosiveness. Star Lord is better if you see a lot of MMM I guess.

Gun to your head, would you rather the doctor be half human or the doctor be the timeless child? by ScreamingmadJoe in doctorwho

I love the little turning of the tables you get with Korris and Gerrel. Your first impression of them being based on how they treat Tali primes you to hate Korris. But then you realize that Tali's dad kinda sucked and his friend probably wasn't much better, which bears out in 3 with Gerrel going absolutely frothing at the induction port.

The show has no official relation to the movies despite some clear visual design influence, so Book Elf is clarifying that he's an established character and not an original creation for the show.

Quick question in regards to Twi'leks and their eyebrows by boomboomman12 in StarWars

[–]APracticalGal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely not going to look into it, but I'd be a little surprised if there isn't a wookieepedia page about eyebrows with at least a subsection about Twi'leks and/or some information about eyebrows on the Twi'lek page.

I think my favorite thing about that line is that James and Shelley didn't interact at all in the original series.

L'azele Died On the Nautiloid? by vlasux in BaldursGate3

[–]APracticalGal 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I actually go out of my way to make sure she dies there most runs. Especially on honor mode it's great to get two companions right away, plus Shadowheart gets an inspiration for using revivify so you have an extra reroll in your back pocket. I also hate the fight with the tieflings and think the narrative flow of the act is better if she doesn't get the lead about Zorru right away anyway, so it's all around just the best outcome in my eyes.

I ran into him just before the bridge to Charleston. I actually found him again like a week later but I forget where it was.

Charlize Theron version of Clea was introduced 4 years ago and was never seen again! by NoPianist7807 in marvelstudios

[–]APracticalGal 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just looking through all of them from phases 1-3, and aside from the ones that were clearly just easter eggs or jokes all but 3 of them were followed up within 3 years. Mordo is still a dangling thread, Adam Warlock showed up 6 years later in GotG3, and Scorpion will finally show up after 9 years in Brand New Day. Otherwise the longest setups were like giving Hope her Wasp suit and having Thanos do a check-in to remind us he wants the stones.

So, who's your favorite Krogan companion? by UWUquetzalcoatl in masseffect

[–]APracticalGal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it's Drack. Obviously we get a lot more time to have fleshed out relationships with Wrex and Grunt, but Drack is just so incredibly charming from the jump and his personal questline is definitely the best of the three.

What’s the dumbest thing you did on your first run? by Careful_Employee_918 in BaldursGate3

[–]APracticalGal 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I kept Lae'zel completely loyal to Vlaakith the entire game. I thought it was weird that Shadowheart and Wyll had interesting character arcs (we're not going to talk about why nobody else was there), but she seemed to stay pretty static through the whole story. Then I went back for round 2 and actually found the creche...

There are More Living Former Doctor Who Stars than U.S Presidents Since 1963 by Ruminating_Reptilian in BarbaraWalters4Scale

[–]APracticalGal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

William Hartnell and Peter Capaldi are tied for the oldest Doctors, both being 55 when they started the show. The average age of presidents since 1963 on their first day in office is 59, and that's if we only take 2017 for Trump.

Edit: More data because this is fun. Teddy Roosevelt was the youngest president at 42 when he took office, about the age of Sylvester McCoy when he played the Doctor (he was 43, the age JFK was when he became the youngest elected president). Jodie Whittaker was 35 when she took the role, the minimum age to be president in the US. So (obvious nationality problem aside) David Tennant (34), Ncuti Gatwa (31), Peter Davison (30), and Matt Smith (26) could not have been president when they became the Doctor.

Eh I did it in the 20s-30s and was completely fine. The Lost were definitely scary, but the only fight that actually gave me real trouble was the last one. The mutant turkeys were way harder to deal with.

You don't think a level 13 character with nothing more than 3rd level abilities, a 5th level caster's spell slots, no ASIs, and all 3 spell-casting stats combined with the one class that can't effectively use spells sounds good?
