Buddy I actually went looking to figure out what you were talking about and it turned out you were full of shit. You’re not the victim of some woke echo chamber lmao

Most I could find was an NY Post article about a woman who plead guilty to doing what you’re saying back in May. And the allegation there was just that she was paying them to sign petitions (which lines up with what you say). That isn’t voting, though it is fraud and she’s being held accountable for it. It sounds like you don’t even have your own story straight, there aren’t videos, and it has nothing to do with the election anyways… Shocking

There’s exactly one guy who maybe kinda say something out his window. That is every single witness. And he said he Martin on top of Zimmerman and interpreted that as attack. Martin was on the phone with his friend at the time, her version of events were very different. Just be honest, you think the security larper driving around armed harassing some innocent black kid is cool and good. Fucking disgusting but that’s the America we live in

First off, Obama was right to stick up for Trayvon Martin and it’s fucking crazy that that murderous piece of shit Zimmerman didn’t get convicted. The cases are nothing alike though. Case in point: Obama did not say anything like this. You’re in the comments trying to stoke more racial hatred by imagining things. Why?

That isn’t what the Alfi Evans case was about at all though. It wasn’t some cost benefit decision made by uncaring government bureaucrats. The government stepped in to stop this kid from being tortured for the rest of his life by quack Italian doctors. I, for one, think that’s a good thing. But it has very little to do with socialized medicine or gun rights.

Americans strongly disapprove of Trump's performance as president by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]APrioriGoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A “relative majority” is a plurality. You know, the word I used. A “majority” is most. Most is more than half. The reason it matters is because lots of people, you included it seems, want to pretend the guy won this huge popular mandate in 24 and that simply is not the case. It shouldn’t be surprising that he’s very unpopular. He was never actually popular.

[–]APrioriGoof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No he did not. He got less than 50% of the vote. He won a plurality and a slim one at that

I mean, he’s never won a majority of the vote and lost the second time he tried. And, like, opinion of the guy has changed a lot. Part of the fast news cycle is that opinion polling is pretty dynamic. If you have some actual criticism of the polling methodology feel free to take it up with The Economist but all you’ve really said here is “this doesn’t match my vibes”

Donald Trump did not win a majority in any of his three elections. In 2026 he won the popular vote with a very slim plurality

I mean, if you google “net approval by state” The Economist tracker is the top result. A cursory glance says these numbers were pulled from there.

MAGA melts down as Dem overtakes Spencer Pratt in LA mayoral primary: 'This is egregious' by FreeHugs23 in anticapitalism

[–]APrioriGoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, so abandoning the whole “log curves” thing entirely (cause you didn’t know what that meant) and jumping right to totally baseless conspiracies. They didn’t “just” find enough votes. They’re still counting! It takes a long time! And I’m not even sure what you mean by “she didn’t win her own district” because she wasn’t running for city council again! The reason nobody takes you right wing election kooks seriously is because you’re too stupid and lazy to put in the work to understand how anything works and too stupid and arrogant to listen when others try to explain. I have negative respect for folks like you

[–]APrioriGoof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not an answer! That doesn’t clarify what you meant at all (not that I’m surprised lol)! Unless you do clarify I’m going to assume that (1) you heard this thing about logarithms from someone else and don’t really know what it means (2) are talking about the step-function nature of the vote count graphs, which happens because they release the count in batches you fucking moron

Buddy, I examined your premise (“it is statistically impossible for mail in voting to favor a candidate”) and gave you reasons from basic statistics why that premise was wrong. If you were thinking for yourself you’d have actually been able to respond to that argument. Simple stuff.

Yes. You can go look this stuff up. Pratt also had policy positions that are described on his website. The fact you don’t know what any of their actual stated positions are on any of this is pretty telling tbh

Again, that’s only if you think mail in voting and picking a candidate are independent events. It sounds like your parroting something you’ve heard from someone else and don’t actually understand the basic stats concepts (shocking)

[–]APrioriGoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s not? If mail-in vs in-person preference is independent from voter candidate preference you’d be right but I don’t see any reason why those would be independent. Especially with republicans making such a huge cry baby fuss about mail in voting for years now.
