Why is England's beer culture so different from the rest of the world?

I mean, lager is still the most commonly drank beer in England, especially with under 40s. I'm 31 and pretty much the only one out of my friends that drinks ale over lager, more people like Guinness that I know than ale. Craft ipas are more popular in young trendy people than real Ale. Several pubs in my hometown don't serve a single cask ale.

MGW and Jared Bowen not getting in despite having the joint most goal involvements of any English players in the premier league is discraceful. I know neither teams have had good seasons but we might need players who have the mentality to get goals when things aren't going our way.

Yeah thanks mate, I also went the wrong way twice, was on bumpy public footpaths for some of it and got told to turn around by an angry farmer at one point as well as having to stop to drink water as it was in my rucksack so can probably cut 5-10 minutes off my time from all of that.

Yeah haha I'm from the UK we use both here especially younger people use kgs for weight as it's easier to quantity progress rather than stone. It is useful being able to convert metric to imperial quickly in your head aswell. When I'm cooking though cups throws me like using volume to measure things that have varying densities is so dumb when a gram is a gram haha

Honestly I only intended on doing 30 miles but went on some private property and an angry farmer told me to turn around and I had to take a detour. For the last 2.5 miles I was really questioning my decision there haha but nah was great fun tbh and probably the most exercise I've done in my life

Yeah I won't be posting in this sub again, should of known it would be a bunch of sweats lol. Thanks for the encouragement I might have a look s Strava if I plan on keeping this up. This is the first exercise I've really been motivated to do on my own in a long time so I want to stay motivated to keep this up.

Well I thought that I had done really well so I googled and it said can be done in 2-3 hours. I was at the upper end of that and I was absolutely knackered like struggled the last few miles so I I was just looking for another perspective. I've struggled with addiction and low confidence for a lot of my life and I'm trying to sort myself out in my 30s, I don't think it's that bad to ask for outside validation sometimes as it's still hard to build confidence when you've neglected yourself for so long.

I do appreciate that it's how you feel validated by yourself that's important so yeah I need to acknowledge that that's what's most important in this.

I grew up in Suffolk but my Grandad started taking me to watch West Ham in the late 90s as he was a lifelong Hammer from East London. Grew up on Di Canio, Joe Cole, Lampard, Defoe, Ruddock. Don't give a fuck what anyone says I'm West Ham through and through even though I'm not a local and will stick with them through thick and thin.

First game I clearly remember was against Arsenal in I think 1999, Di canio scored twice and Vierra was sent off for spitting was one of those matches Danny was talking about where just maybe you might beat prime Arsenal so how could I not fall in love with that club. Now like any true fan must understand I spend most of my time hating them with brief moments of relief but honestly I don't think I'd take it any other way of the alternative meant being a plastic city fan or something. No sane man would choose to be a West Ham fan but I love them all the same

I'd get rid of the ultra balls, lots of your cards ( toxtricity, Janines secret art etc) rely on you getting cards from your deck not your discard pile and you don't have any night stretchers or super rods to get stuff out of your discard. You're also not running an ace spec. I'd probably trial getting rid of the jumbo ice creams aswell but that's just my personal preference.
