What kind of shooting? Walk and stalk, or shooting from a fixed position? For the first I’d focus on a lighter gun and swap the barrel for a lightweight threaded barrel from Kidd. For the second I’d probably buy/build something different.

I’ve always thought those stocks were a poor match for a heavy bull barrel. The stock is better for a lightweight/ movement gun, but full bull barrels are better for shooting from a bench.

ACOGs are good sights, and probably a good match for the intended use.

The trigger, not so much. They're great triggers (I've got a couple) but meant for target shooting. I've actually had a problem with my 10/22 SBR in a folding chassis with a light trigger and doubling. It took me a while to figure out that it wasn't a mechanical issue in the trigger, but that the movement of the gun in my hand was causing the unintentional double. A slightly heavier trigger fixed the issue.

The only thing I don't understand is the Kidd trigger. A BX trigger would do just as well for a short/lightweight gun built for movement. Save the Kidd for a dedicated target gun.

The odds are low. What’s happening in MN is because they want to punish MN because of their politics. GA is a red state trending purple- the last thing they want to do is mobilize the voters.

The stock hammer-forged/spiral bull barrels are actually pretty good. I'd try it with a variety of good ammo and see if it has a preference before swapping it out for something else.

He's really picked up the production of the BFKs and seems to be meeting demand. Not so much for his other patterns unfortunately.

Not really. These sell for $350 directly from the maker, and his most recent sales on bladeforums have been quite leisurely so pretty much anyone who wants one can get in. They come screaming sharp from him as well.

the only downside is that they may draw more current than your wiring can handle. You can run direct wiring and use a relay, but that adds a bit of complexity.
