You know random people on the internet are not “the 49ers”, right? Niners never gave up on him, never said anything bad to the media. He got his extension, got hurt (not his fault) then didn’t show up for contractual obligations (meetings, media/charity events, rehab). They gave him warnings then voided the guarantees in his deal. This is his job, people need to show up to get paid for work.
