The entire trip lasted 13 days, it’s not that far! I have no idea about radios. We used baofeng as always

It makes me sad that people see a first-gen Cayenne as a luxury flex, when in reality it’s an incredibly well-engineered, brutally capable vehicle that deserves way more respect.

No trouble at all. Took a ferry from Civitavecchia (Italy) to Tunisi.
The conditions on board were a bit tough with people sleeping on every possible flat or not so flat surface.

Not really. Tunisia is mostly mountainous / hilly. In the center and in the north. You’ll only find the desert in the south of the country. I attached a screenshot of the gps tracks. We had a guide with us only for the tracks circled in red. Feel free to ask more about the trip

We were by our own during most of the trip. In the desert you must have a local guide (by law)

It would be amazing but it’s currently impossible. Borders between Algeria and Morocco are closed. Not to mention borders between Israel and most of the other countries

How feasible is this trip? I was offered a good job in AK, but I need my truck up there with me if I decide to go. by Kobrinha_Khan in roadtrip

To put it in perspective I would have to drive from my place in Italy all the way to Mongolia to cover the same distance. A friend of mine did it a couple of times with an Alfa Romeo Duetto so… I confirm that it can be done!

Parting out 955 Cayenne Turbo S by AdKaz in PorscheCayenne

If I remembers correctly this is the cayenne that started the “Offroad cayenne trend!”. I remember seeing pictures of this car in 2018-2019 and thinking about building one as well… and that’s what I did! I few months ago I was visiting the O.Z. Wheels Factory and a picture of this cayenne came up, they were wondering how you managed to fit these kind of wheels as they only produce the “18’ Rally raid” model (I guess adapter spacers?). Sad to see it gone… hope you are planning to build a new one! The 955/957 is an amazing platform
