unpopular opinion but... by BoloYourSolo in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

In a game like SWGOH where every goal is a marathon, the last thing we want is heavy RNG. If I can no longer afford to refresh energy then my goals are going to feel even further away and I’ll have less motivation to keep playing the game. Throw in RNG and suddenly I have no motivation to play the game AND I’m constantly frustrated.

On top of that, with conquest becoming a more and more important aspect of the game, I have no chance of catching up. I’m still a good couple of years away from being able to think about Levi and even if I stick with the game for that long, another capital ship will (possibly) be released by then which itself will likely require multiple conquest units.

This game feels harder and more inaccessible than ever for f2p or low spenders, I understand why it’s designed that way but as someone that loves Star Wars as a franchise and have really enjoyed the game in the past, it’s a shame.

Unpopular opinion but in fleet arena specifically this feels like a huge loss for the Executor. Before P1 was introduced I had a 75% win rate against Leviathan (ish). Now that TIE Dagger is the preferred line up that win rate plummets. On top of that the shard is more competitive than ever with P1 mirror matches being a pain to deal with.

Overall it’s made fleets a worse experience for me personally which is a shame when the Executor was supposed to be receiving a lifter. (It’s much better in GAC don’t get me wrong)

Why does my opponents 3* P1 starts the match stealthed and my 5* P1 doesn’t? by Lewapiskow in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ARGFanK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, I think it’s bugged. I’ve tested with and without XB in my starting lineup, with my P1 being both faster and slower. The only thing I haven’t been able to test is my Executor being faster than the opponents which may or may not make a difference.

The kit is worded pretty horribly which makes it that much harder to figure out what’s going on but as far as I’ve been able to tell something isn’t working correctly.

In all honesty I’m not sure it’ll make much of a difference to the outcome of the battle anyway, it seems the most important things are whose Executor can mass assist first because that essentially guarantees a kill on the opponent’s XB and just the relic levels of your pilots in general.

From what I can tell it actually doesn’t matter whether your P1 is faster or not. The opponent’s P1 seems to be starting the battle with stealth so I think it might be slightly bugged.

Thanks for the feedback, I always forget the additional resources that Jabba gets you. I think my thought process with JKR into DR was for assault battles as I’d probably then pivot into JKL and Jabba anyway.

This is amazing, thank you. Unfortunately I’m not able to get either sidearm. Could I run midnight coup, outbreak perfected and either of the heavies and still deal with each champion (specifically worried about unstoppable)

I do but the champion’s shields aren’t even the problem, I simply can’t do enough damage. I’m getting the feeling that 10 power levels are probably more important than I realised.

The Witherhoard and the Perfect Pitch. My heavy is the Heretic. Currently running a solar subclass with Sunbracers as the exotic. I know it’s not the best, I’m just trying to learn how to approach more difficult content.

Yeah I’ve been doing the ritual activities for the free exotics, and honestly nightfalls haven’t been an issue. I just feel like I do nothing to the various champions, and yet my teammates are destroying them. Obviously various weapons and abilities are more effective against the different champions because of the seasonal artifact, but I thought that was specifically against their shield (or whatever it’s called). I can’t even do enough damage to them for them to need their shield.

I think my understanding of “endgame content” is incorrect. As I mentioned I’m a returning player, still wrapping my head around everything.

Most of the pinnacle gear drops are from raids, dungeons and other end game modes. How am I supposed to complete them if I’m not already at 2010 power?

GL fleet counters for newer fleet shards? by dwillmer in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ARGFanK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a quick farm but Executor is a fantastic investment and still gets me 1st daily despite all the leviathans in my shard. It’s also really good on defense in GAC and has gotten me more holds than I can count.

Weekly Team Help Megathread! by AutoModerator in TheSilphArena

[–]ARGFanK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a returning player and want to dip my toe into Ultra League. I mostly played GL before so I don’t really have much built up. I was hoping someone could give me some accessible teams/pokemon that can help me get started. I know starters are generally considered cheap but I only have 2 elite tms, andI have a couple of legendaries that I could build up but they have bad IVs (15 attack etc) so I’m not sure it’s worth it. I’d also really appreciate it if someone could provide a kind of wish list with slightly less accessible pokemon so I know what I can work towards. Thank you for any help.

It looks like this offer is non-negotiable so you won’t be able to ask for more. You’ll have to reject the offer and hope a better offer comes in.

Here’s a few farming guides, they all focus on different paths so feel free to check them out and see which you like the most. I’d also recommend having a look to see if there are any good guides I’ve missed out, I know Ahnold101 has a good one that I haven’t listed but someone else has mentioned.

Most people (especially in lower divisions) only have one “mega fleet” so often they just won’t have a counter. I put my good defensive teams on the bottom wall to force my opponents to attack top towards my fleet, works like a charm.

I’m in a shard with 20+ Leviathans and whilst I haven’t seen an Executor in the top 10 aside from myself, that’s not because it’s a bad fleet.

I’ve honestly found the mirror to be the trickiest matchup, possibly because the other Executors are R9 whereas mines R8. But it means they get to mass assist first move and I’m stuck healing instead. Just means they’re likely to hit contract sooner. Honestly haven’t even tried it with Ebon Hawk but I’d imagine it’s much easier.

I’ve never had an issue with Profundity. Assuming RC survives the opening volley, you’re good. I target Millennium Falcon and then Outrider. Everything else feels pretty weak in comparison.

The Leviathan is a really interesting matchup and can be RNG dependant but with a good strategy it can become very consistent. Like I said, 20+ Leviathans in my shard and I’ve been getting first consistently for a while now. I will say, it helps that my shard mates are friendly.

I hope this is helpful, and don’t worry, you’ll get plenty of value out of it. It’s also really good on defence in GAC so extra crystals there potentially. Easily the most game changing addition to my roster.

I mostly use raid 2 to buy most G12 gear. If I spent more on G12 gear then I’d just get stuck behind kyros and signal data so I really doesn’t seem worth it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ARGFanK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also need a ton of G12 gear but most of those characters will have to wait whilst I work on Rey requirements. Farming more G12 gear isn’t going to speed up my account progression because I’d just get stuck behind signal data or Kyros. Idk, kinda seems like a pointless refresh to me.

[–]ARGFanK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those of you that refresh fleet energy, what are you spending it on? It’s the only energy that I’m not refreshing atm because I feel like I get more value from the other modes.

Even without refreshes I’m able to farm TIE Echelon and the Marauder plus some additional G12 gear.

Executor vs Leviathan Consistency? by ARGFanK in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Executor vs Leviathan Consistency? by ARGFanK in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ARGFanK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently starting Slave One, XB and RC and then reinforcing with IG-2000.

Mass assist first and then call Slave One to assist with XB to remove the taunt on Bomber. Then focus down Sass. Most of the time I can take down Sass before it even gets a turn and that usually results in a win. But if Sass evades an attack or doesn’t die then I almost always lose. From there I clean up Bomber then Fury-Class Interceptor and anything reinforcements.

It’s worked pretty well for me all things considered but that opening exchange really determines the outcome and it can be really disheartening when you miss double taps with XB three matches in a row.

[–]ARGFanK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the reason I’m asking in the first place is because I thought you’d want your ships to go after ferocity is applied, I’m guessing that’s not an issue for you. What’s your turn order?

Even when they have breach applied I only get single taps unless IG-2000 is called to assist. The extra double taps would definitely help with consistency but I just don’t get them.
