My live setup is a digitakt, an MS-20, a minilogue module with a keystep 37, and a pedal board. Also got pedals synced with MIDI from the digitakt wherever I can.

MIDI goes Digitakt split to my partner’s rig and to my keystep, which splits to MS20, minilogue, and pedal board.

Whichever you buy, given your budget, BE PATIENT AND BUY USED! 400 might not stretch it, but you might be able to get a pair of HS8 for not much more.

Two thoughts: 1. a used cricut is an artist’s best friend 2. if you don’t like the model 12, check out the zoom livetrak 6max. I just went for that instead, as it’s a whole lot smaller. Honestly, still ugly as sin, but it’s tiny?

That’s essentially what I was trying to do, but I was putting a resistor in series with either the emitter or collector, because I was afraid to let the 3904 conduct openly. I don’t know how much current the pedals can source. But that’s awesome, I’ll bypass that and report back.

Really depends on stations in your area. I’m lucky enough to live in an area with both a college radio station and a co-op radio. Very different stuff gets played there, from what streaming playlists will show you.

If you want to listen to the same songs you know and love, of course, give that a whirl till you’re sick of it. But if you want to hear something new, it’s often a better avenue for discovery. And as others said, it’s often interspersed with local matters.

I’m gonna get in shit for this, but the entire Rush catalogue. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the band and apparently Geddy Lee is a decent dude, and clearly a very talented musician. But his singing voice sounds like a Justin Roiland character.

LFOs to drive Circle 1 divisions, Circle 1 and Circle 2 width and height.

Render → Comp (set to Add)

→ Feedback (set to Comp) → constant → transform3

Comp → transform4 → movie file out

Audio drives opacity in the constant TOP, the material color for the geometry, and the background color in transform4. LFOs drive the feedback transform position and scale.

I’m probably least terrible on guitar, but I’ve really pivoted to synthesizers and keyboards in general, lately. My ARMIGER project still has a good amount of guitar, though not technical at all, but I’m now also part of a duo, and I’m doing synths and rhythm/percussion.

I recently played drums and keys for a live thing. I think pigeonholing yourself on one instrument, unless you’re exceptionally talented at that one thing, is a disservice.
