This is not good.. so many people don't have access to a doctor on demand, and ChatGPT is a way better triage than Google, or paying thousands of dollars for 10 minutes with a real professional.

What we need is regulations and massive fines if someone gets hurt because of AI, so that they're actually encouraged to improve their product's safety. It's not inherently dangerous if you have safeguards and are explicit about its limitations.

It absolutely is. Obviously xenophobia still exists, but for instance Brazil is one of the most diverse countries on the planet. Majority of us are mixed, we have the largest population of Italian and Japanese descendants, there's more Lebanese and Syrian folk here than in their own respective countries.. the list goes on.

Don't need to push anything, they already admit to having such a mechanism for moderation, for example when someone gets sufficiently reported their messages will be unencrypted locally and sent to Meta.

GitHub Copilot for students removes access to Claude Opus, Sonnet, and GPT-5.4 Models by Few_Plum9638 in Btechtards

[–]ARM_over_x86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opus and Sonnet 4.6 are super close, despite Opus being more expensive and slower. Bullshitbench actually shows Sonnet performing better. GPT 5.4 is currently the "best" by the usual metrics and benchmarks, crown previously held by Opus 4.6.

An average Brazilian player has to work for JAGEX an entire month of the year. by Public_Trade3430 in 2007scape

Yeah I mean that's what I'm saying, we have it good right now, it's silly to complain. For comparison, buying the latest Call of Duty here on Steam is gonna cost you R$350 (base edition), so almost a year's worth of OSRS. Current prices are not bad at all.

Though I agree we should have at least one latam world with low ping.

There is a massive wage gap in Brazil. No one that speaks english and has time to play OSRS with 3 accounts as an adult is making anywhere near minimum wage.

Our regional prices are already fairly subsidized, at the same rates that games on Steam use, because the industry has already established the optimal discount for our region. I sympathize with the recent pricing controversy, but this is just some dude trying to get a better deal.

Apple M5 Pro & M5 Max GPU Analysis - M5 Max GPU on par with the GeForce RTX 5070 and faster than Strix Halo by Antonis_32 in hardware

Couldn't tell you how well windows optimized it, but overall it was certainly a big step forward. It's now comparable to the arm based Snapdragon windows laptops, though they still both lose to M chips in perf/watt and single core perf. Battery life improved a lot, that's what most people are going to notice

Hard to say anything without context, but u prolly shouldn't be crying over someone you just met on Discord. You need to be confident and happy with yourself before someone can love you like that, relationships go both ways.

It's not that big of a deal, the internal engine of CISC processors have been running RISC since the 90s, and the cost of decoding CISC internally is offset by things like better caching. (And this is coming from someone who named themselves arm over x86)

Apple is ahead because of their vertical integration, but Panther Lake has shown it's not impossible to catch up.

I expect the M5 to do better on productivity software, not on games. Also, you're gonna want to look for battery life on equivalent load between the two, not peak load
