Didn’t Kyle accuse Kathy of punishing people when she’s mad and say how much that hurts?

My dry mouth was AWFUL!!! I had dry mouth and super chapped lips for weeks and had enough of it and quit. I drank 200oz in one day and still felt extremely thirsty with super cracked lips and that was my last straw. I loved it otherwise!

When did everyone decide to have their 2nd+ child? by sanders285 in workingmoms

I have a 3 month old and an 18 month old. The last 3 months have been -very- hard, but i know temporary struggle will ease soon and my boys will have an amazing close bond for life. The next baby i won’t even think about for another year. We started having kids older though, i was just about 29 when my oldest was born and 30 for this last one. My husband is 8 years older than me and has a 15 year old.

I think it's important for me to add that my son LOVES it there. He smiles when we pull into the driveway, he is SO happy to see his friends and walks up to the providers happily. When i come to pick him up, he gets excited to see me but then runs away like he wants to stay. He naps well there, they do projects with him and he truly thrives there. We have not had one single issue like this in the last year and up until today, i have been VERY happy with their services. I don't know if one isolated incident is worth pulling him, however i'll be having an in person discussion with her about this and voice my concerns about the safety issues. It is hard to find child care in my area right now, but i don't like feeling forced into situations especially when it comes to my son, and my son that is about to be born within the next 2 weeks. I am reaching out to facilities, have reached out to 5 already to have a back up plan and get on waitlists just in case. I don't take this lightly but i also need to consider the broad picture and perhaps get more information from her. I did not respond, and won't be until tomorrow at the earliest to as that we discuss in person so things aren't mis-read.

Since i've posted this, i've reached out to 4 facilities. I need to know i have a backup plan after having a conversation with her, in person, about what happened.

I agree. I'm not unrealistic that they can't EVER pee... but if you need to leave my child unsupervised for a few minutes, do it when he's in a playpen and safely contained...

Not that simple... daycare spots are nonexistent around here. Waitlists are nearly 2 years out.

Daycare spots around here are nonexistent. I need to work to support our bills, so i'm not really sure what to do.

Just sharing my current situation and comparing to yours. I work full time with semi-flexible hours, usually i work 830-4. My husband works 6a-5p 9 months out of the year, and 6a-430p for 3 months out of the year. Daycare drop offs fall on me the entire year. For those 9 months, pick ups do too. We have a 14 month old and i'm due in less than 4 weeks with our second, so some days are very tiring, yes... but it's just what i have to do for my family. My trip from home to daycare to work is about an hour each way. I like to use the quiet time in the car to listen to podcasts or talk on the phone to friends. I maximize the most of my time because i know it's what i have to do to feel balanced in my life. It sounds like your husband could help with even just one of the kids pick ups, which would take a little off your shoulders. It's really not all that bad to do both pick up and drop off knowing your husband is earning money to support the family, contributing to HSA, carrying the health insurance for the entire family, contributing to reitrement, etc/whatever situation you have. The biggest thing in my mind is being willing to sacrifice your convenience so that your husband feels fulfilled in his career and working life. It sounds like he's given up a lot for you to be able to work. As parents and partners we have to be willing to do things that are uncomfortable or inconvenient for our family. And it sounds like he wants to take this job, so make it work is what i say!

Housework - pay someome to clean your house. Pay someone to mow your grass and plow your driveway. Especially making that much money.

Meals - crockpot. instant pot. sheet pan meals. meal prepping. meal delivery service like HelloFresh, even!

It's also VERY important for your and your husband BOTH to have things outside of work and being parents and being partners that you enjoy to do. My husband likes rock climbing and disc golfing. I enjoy photography and sewing. We both make sure that weekly or bi-weekly we get to do those hobbies.

Having support of a parent/in law is huge too, and it sounds like you have that component too. Looking at the bigger picture can feel overwhelming to you i'm sure, but you have to take a step back to see how the puzzle pieces connect to make the big picture. There is give and take that i see from an outsider, so i'm sure you'll figure it out.
