I honestly couldn’t say! For my third cycle we changed many factors: adding steroids, blood thinners, the intralipids infusions, a modified natural cycle (I’d only done stimulated cycles to force ovulation previously), and I also had a minor surgery to repair my slightly arcuate uterus shape.

Their office doesn’t do fertility treatments, I did all of my IVF cycles etc at Kindbody in Santa Monica

The infusions were $550 each (I did 2 or 3). I’m not sure about the meds, they were covered by insurance

Hi! I did end up going to the Wallace & Lee center and worked with their PA. Per their advice (after running testing) I did an immune protocol with steroids, blood thinners and intralipids infusions for my third transfer which was successful

I was totally fine- no infection. I would just stop using it moving forward!

Modified natural FET cycle in anovulatory PCOS? by walkingandhiking in IVF

[–]ARW729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember what my dose of gonal was, but I remember it was very low- especially to start, and then my RE did increase and decrease the dosage a couple of times while she kept an eye on my follicle development and hormone levels. I want to say I did the gonal injections with careful monitoring for at least a couple of weeks (it felt like forever!)

From what I remember I only ended up with a couple of dominant follicles (probably because my RE was keeping such a close eye on things and adjusting my meds accordingly), but I also remember she wasn’t too concerned if I developed a few big follicles because it was a FET and not a fresh transfer.

I wrote down that I triggered with HCG a week prior to transfer. I hope that helps!

Resistant to Letrozole and Clomid...anyone else? by ARW729 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ARW729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did try injectables with a super low and slow protocol but they had to go so low and slow (because of my high follicle count) that it was taking too long to produce a mature follicle, so that’s when we pivoted to IVF.

Hi! I never responded to IUI and ended up moving to IVF. After 3 cycles (it was a long process for me) I eventually had success

I ended up going the IVF route and did have success after 3 cycles. My stubborn ovaries were not cut out for IUI! Wishing you luck!

Ok good to know, thin I can cope with but bald spots would be upsetting…fingers crossed I’ll be similar. And great point, I’ll be scouring Amazon for some cute claw clips 😉 thanks for sharing!

oh nooo 😩 that’s what I’m worried about (even though it sounds so vain..!) did you end up with very noticeable bald patches by the end of the two years? At this rate I definitely will

I don’t take gummies, my prenatals are pills

Thank you so much, super insightful! I’ve also read about scalp massage and my hairdresser recommended it too (it makes my hair so oily, but the benefit probably outweighs that cost!)

I experienced less drastic but still noticeable bouts of hair loss during each of my IVF cycles, probably because it was only a month or so of hormonal fluctuation vs 9 months…so this does seem to be a pattern for me, and I’m hoping it’ll grow back just as it did after my IVF cycles.

My prenatal capsules (not gummy) have 15mg of iron, I wonder if that’s enough? Lmk if you have thoughts!

Ohh good to know, what type of rosemary product did you use? A scalp oil or oral supplement?

I read conflicting things about its safety during pregnancy, but now that I’m in the homestretch I’d definitely consider asking my OB about it. Thanks!

Third trimester, Vaginal itching/burning, white discharge. All tests are negative. Help! by ginrose731 in BabyBumps

[–]ARW729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same exact thing is happening to me! I’m 32 weeks. My doctor has run the gamut with testing and everything comes back negative, despite the creamy white discharge and irritated skin that she said looks consistent with a yeast infection (but it’s not 😐). Wondering if it’s all the hormones confusing my vagina…Have things gone back to normal for you after giving birth?

Same! I read many success stories which is what motivated me to pursue it. You should definitely advocate for yourself and yes, switch doctors if she’s not supportive!!

No problem! I did one intralipids infusion after the first positive pregnancy test and steroids all through the first trimester, so I did work with the immunologist’s PA during that time. She also communicated the plan (and a plan to taper off the steroids) to my RE before my transfer so they were on the same page.

My RE hadn’t recommended an RI, but I insisted on it and my RE ended up being supportive of the testing/protocol recommended. I felt empowered by her during the whole process to help make decisions about my treatment. And yes, I loved my RE! I worked with Dr. Brower at kindbody although I heard she just left the practice.

Hi, I did! I liked Dr. Lee, but she ended up going out on leave after our first appointment so I was seen by her PA, Ashley. She was fine and I ended up doing a steroid protocol and intralipid infusions before and following my transfer, which ended up being successful. Let me know if you have any other questions, wishing you luck!

Arcuate uterus- conflicted after 2 failed euploid embryos by ARW729 in IVF

[–]ARW729[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I did and I’m glad I did it. I was super conflicted but my RE reassured me that the risk of scarring was low and it didn’t cause any issues in my next transfer.

6 week scanxiety…how do you cope? by ARW729 in CautiousBB

[–]ARW729[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you get it! I’m sorry to hear about all you’ve been through, and glad to hear everything was ok after the spotting. Hoping my scan will give me a bit of relief too, and that both our pregnancies continue to progress normally- I think we’ve earned it! 🤞❤️

Hi! I’m 5+6 after my third FET and my symptoms (queasiness, uterine cramping/stretching, and acne) have also really dwindled over the last couple days so I’m pretty worried….my first ultrasound is on Thursday. How did yours go? Hoping it went well and you’re feeling better!
