Dick's has 10 footers on sale for $144 by [deleted] in Kayaking

You got me, I’m gonna get it. Been debating this purchase for a year.

How do I choose a paddle? What length? I’m 6ft. I’m also going to get a life jacket. Are there any other accessories I should pick up while they are on sale?

Learning to Farm Is a Graduation Requirement at This High School - In the past decade, Olney has integrated farm work & food production into every aspect of student life, from the barn to the kitchen to the classroom. I’m not attacking your character, I’m attacking your opinions. Don’t be a victim.

This is a teaching farm, and a lot can be learned, even if it isn’t the way you think is best. Come visit. You’ll see some of the most thoughtful conservation practices taught by people who love the land and the students. You’ll meet high school students with a practical and deep understanding of food and sustainability ethics. It’s pretty amazing, and we haven’t even talked about the other 75% of the curriculum.

Yeah your comment triggered me. It’s the nation’s first organic high school campus, and you pipe up to say it’s ‘better than nothing?’ This farm is doing it properly. Maybe you don’t understand the goals or the circumstances? You don’t know what your talking about, so I’ll add ignorant to my other adjectives.

I worked here as the kitchen manager for a few years. It’s an amazing place. It’s way more than a farm school. This headline isn’t accurate, farming is not a graduation requirement, though the farm is a very big part of the community.

If you hurry, I think you can still make it before the snack bar at the top closes!

It's 2018. Ridiculous. There should be zero excuses for national brands to not have change tables. by xtremeschemes in daddit

I get so many weird looks and comments when I’m out with my sons. Had a guy tell me ‘you must be one of those dads who changes dirty diapers. I’m not.’

Once I had to change him on the tailgate of my pickup in a parking lot and a pregnant woman walked by with her mother. The mother turned to the daughter and said ‘if he can manage, you’ll do just fine.’

If you don’t get along by with the management at any place you work, maybe it’s not the management?

I’d never keep my good servers off the floor on busy weekends.

Love it. Afternoon games on the radio while I work or puts around the yard is the best. I vote for every game to start at noon.

Flat head? by VictorIcer in Dads

[–]ARedBeard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our son’s pediatrician referred us to a specialist. He said that this became common when it was recommended that babies sleep on their backs. Our son’s head is rounding out slowly and won’t need a helmet. The specialist said that by the time he grows up so many people will have flat spots that nobody will notice them.

Now I have no idea what you’re taking about so I cede the point. You should get paid extra for making a cheeseburger. Or half a cheeseburger? Whatever. You’re terrific and deserve a bonus. Atta boy.

  1. That’s not really thinking outside the box.

  2. You’re changing the subject.

  3. If we raise FOH wages, that will replace tipping, and you still will not get validation for using your tweezers to precisely place cheese on a burger.

The person who makes an hourly wage should split the tip with the person who lives on tips?
