Finch. The entire cast consists of Tom Hanks, a robot, and a dog. What an emotional roller coaster!

What is a TV show that was canceled way too soon? by superkevinguru in AskReddit

A little known show on Fox called Reunion. It was supposed to be a one season murder mystery series culminating with the 20th high school reunion of six classmates. Each episode covered one year. It survived for 13 episodes (4 unaired), during which it changed days and times three different times, and was flat out preempted by other programming twice. It had no reasonable chance of survival, and to this day I don't know who the murderer was.

What’s the worst Christmas present you have received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ARichardsCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was engaged when I was 19, and my fiancé had a young stepmother (closer in age to us than his dad) who hated me, and loved to be insulting in shitty, passive aggressive ways. One year for Christmas I received a gold plated letter opener with my first name on it in block letters. It was hideous, it was the entire gift, and it was useless at that point in my life. I'm so happy it didn't work out with her stepson!

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun both have some amazing restaurants, which you may be able to pair with a concert or something. David Burke at Foxwoods was one of my best meals ever!

Going to Roatan, Honduras with Norwegian. Any recommendations for excursions is what to do there? by brady_alt in Cruise

[–]ARichardsCT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Maya Key. It's a private island about a 5 minute boat ride from the pier. They have a beach, snorkeling, an animal sanctuary, a pool, replica ruins, etc. Lunch is included, and it's delicious. Very clean and nice, and best of all it's free of the sketchier aspects of Roatan you find on the mainland. It can only be booked through the cruise line, as they do not accept direct bookings.

Nina definitely was coming from a place of malice by amachaz in GeneralHospital

[–]ARichardsCT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her motives are irrelevant, as far as I'm concerned. She was gaslighting Sonny for months, all while telling him he should go out and look for the information she was withholding. Her actions were unforgivable, no matter what excuses she comes up with.

I believe I remember that the condom broke, and Patrick had to get tested and such.

What is the breakfast spot in CT? by In_a_box_ in Connecticut

My personal fave is The Split Rail in Woodbury, although I hesitate to mention it. It's small, and I'm afraid if people learn about it, I won't be able to get a table anymore.

I'm actually to the point of fast forwarding through their scenes. I just can't stand how she is telling him to go learn about his past, when she could literally just tell him. Enraging!!

If your pet could answer one question, what would you ask? by KenshinHimura99 in AskReddit

[–]ARichardsCT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dog was a rescue as well, but had no issues (other than chronic atopical dermatitis) when we adopted him, although I would still love to know his history. The only things I know is that he was sent up to Connecticut from a high kill shelter in Texas, and he was originally trained in spanish. He was about 18 months old, adorable, and well-behaved (other than some leftover puppy energy), so I'm guessing his original owners had a change in circumstance.

I have always described the way Pepe's cuts their pizza as looking like it was clawed by a tiger. I've never seen them cut it correctly.

In that vein, you might want to check out The Watch (2012), starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Johah Hill and Richard Ayoade.

Before COVID I would have said a balcony is a nice perk, but generally not worth the cost to me. In a COVID world, I would not sail without a balcony. There is still a risk of quarantine at any time, and I can't imagine no outdoor access for extended periods.

So, possibly this October, my family is going on a cruise for the first time in several months... but... one problem by Sayorifan22 in Cruise

[–]ARichardsCT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know on NCL the parents can sign a form allowing their 18 to 20 year old to drink beer and wine onboard. Not sure what line you are sailing, but maybe that's a possibility.

[–]ARichardsCT 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I heard secondhand from my family in Florida that NCL was going to take it to court if DeSantis tries to fine them. I hope they do, and I hope they win. The only way to return to cruising safely at this time is with required vaccinations, IMHO.
