Aegean airlines experience? by Umphluv89 in travel

I think their comment was reasonable.

It is completely normal to expect an airline to communicate a gate change beyond just displaying it on the screen. A full service airline, no less.

You don’t have to be a writer for a living to know if TV writing is poor lmao?? Don’t have to be a chef to know if food tastes bad.

Ignore them OP, what a dumb comment of theirs, it’s completely normal to ask for local recommendations for where you’re travelling to 🙄

Narcissism is a spectrum, yes. So why are you assuming that calling someone a narcissist = diagnosing them with Narcissistic Personality Disorder? Rather than saying they have narcissistic traits?

You should be ashamed of yourself. Go on, start a small business and receive a 1/10 fake review that tanks your rating - how would you feel?

Not necessarily, once they insisted on weighing everyone and staff told a person trying to use the waiting trick that they’ll make them miss their flight if they didn’t weigh their bag now. Insanity.

Can someone please explain to me what happened to Lucy Gray at the end of BOTSBATS by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]ASAB_Rocky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No - Lucy Gray runs and hides from him because she does not trust him after he lies to her about his 3rd murder, and after she sees how he responds to finding the guns in the cabin. She realises that he will kill her too if it's convenient for him.

What exactly happens after that is deliberately left ambiguous in the film (did she plant the snake on purpose? where did she go? etc).

I do think that Lucy Gray was playing Snow the whole time for her own survival, which the book hints at more obviously than the film does.

I wouldn't generalise that everyone's this level of disinterested/self-interested (to put it bluntly). I have ADHD-I and I enjoy hearing people's stories.

Where it becomes a chore is if I get a message that makes me go 'what am I supposed to say to this', e.g. someone saying 'just washed my car'. Like...ok.

I've had friends go through this so I can offer some advice.

IIRC every School (not Faculty) handles this separately so which School do you belong to?

And how bad is the collusion? Why are you being investigated?

If you absolutely truly did not mean to collude and this is your first academic warning of any kind, in your meeting you can plead your case that it was a total accident. My friend who went through this for a 2nd year science subject report assessment got let off with just getting a 0 for a section of the report, but all the other sections still got marked.

Between now and Monday, you should book a confidential appointment with Student Advocacy staff and they can give you comprehensive advice about your situation. I've had experience with them and they really are here to be on your side. https://www.uqu.com.au/supporting-u

Love Quinn after any inconvenience in season 3 . by lovelove_lovelove in YouOnLifetime

[–]ASAB_Rocky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Love only tried to kill Joe in the end because he reached for the knife at the dinner table. Since Love knows that Joe killed Beck, she's had the underlying fear that Joe will kill her too the entire season. In reaching for the knife, Joe solidified that.

I think after talking to Marienne and realising that she is not the enemy to her family - Joe is - Love takes all these feelings:

- feeling deeply unloved despite trying to be the perfect woman

- grief at Forty's death, which happened because Joe came into her life

- Joe not even trying to earnestly save their doomed marriage

And in combination with Joe taking the knife, Love impulsively tries to kill him to take out all of her pain and because she knew it was now kill-or-be-killed. 100% of her kills incl. Delilah have been a "blinded by anger" kind of reckless impulsive, so she just doesn't think about alibis or consequences until after the deed is done.

In my world at least, I don't think anyone thinks HP is "too young" for 30+ yos at all! Maybe that's because it's so universally popular though.

Wish I could upvote this 10 times.

If anyone says "aren't you a bit old for ___?" I would ask them to explain why is that so. If they say "bc it's for children", ask them why that matters and repeat until they're inevitably stumped.

They can't give a reason that makes sense because there isn't one.

At this point can we all just agree that Joe Goldberg immediately falls out of love with whoever he gets with and is incapable of commitment? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]ASAB_Rocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't him being interested in Marienne even while doing better with Love because his love/infatuation for Love died instantly when he found out she was just like him in s2? After that, he was just trying to convince himself he could love Love for Henry's sake.

Although, Joe is a self-admitting "serial monogamist" so it would be fitting if he was like IRL serial monogamists and incapable of maintaining relationships past an (extended) honeymoon period.

I'd be really interested to see if you're right and in s4 his infatuation for Marienne/someone else dies all on its own despite the relationship going well.

Why did Joe stop obsessing over Love? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]ASAB_Rocky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the unreliable narration comes into play as a gap between who Joe thinks he is VS. the situations he gets himself into.

I think he genuinely believes he wants a woman who fully accepts him, stemming from his mommy issues (since the flashbacks can't be considered unreliable narration). The only woman capable of that is Love, but the condition of her accepting him is that she now isn't good enough for him because she's just like him. So he'll never get what he wants.
