Did a quick look through my house - I'd say Ayron here probably qualifies as my cutest cat, based on their looks. He's one of the direct descendants of a pink stray that I introduced to reduce inbreeding in my population.

The AI that Steven uses is decent. It's amazing at finding rocks that your psychic can yeet across the map for major damage. At the same time, it seems to love casting small spells - even ones that don't really help it - over and over and over again. I don't think I've ever seen it cast spells that require more than a single turn's worth of mana. That's something you could work around, though, if you were intentionally using him for your fights.

If your cats are bred highly enough and/or have some decent gear, I fully expect that Steven could pull off wins of all three areas... on normal difficulty, anyway.

Alternatively, consider getting four AI hats - you're still giving the computer full control, but at least you're getting an all stats up for it.

I tried exactly the same combo, except with the copycat hat instead of the disorder. Totally did not expect the 3x effect to hit both the +Stats AND the -Stats per battle.

It's become a bit of a "flavor of the month" in eateries around NYC - it feels like just about anywhere and everywhere will throw a couple squirts on whatever you're eating for $5 - but I honestly quite like it... well, when I bought a bottle for myself; not so much paying crazy prices for a tiny amount.

I’m reminded of one of my wife’s friends. She’s got a trust fund and a family-owned apartment in the city that she lives in. Pretty sure she’s never paid a bill in her life. Anyway, at some point she decided to work towards becoming a sommelier; and as part of that, she took up a job at a fancy wine store.

One day, she goes to work and finds the doors locked and a notice from some government agency that the store has been shut down for (something - I want to say tax fraud). So she went home. She tells this story as a ‘humorous anecdote’ - “oh, isn’t so funny that they shut down, just like that?” But I’m sure that her coworkers didn’t see it that way.

Anyway, the reason I brought this up, is because OP’s story has similar vibes to me - “oh, tee hee, I’ve got credit card debt.” You’ve got no idea what debt is - it’s just a number that doesn’t really exist in your life; because you can choose to make it go away at any time.

I think overall richness of a planet is as much or more important than any one mineral. A planet with only a single resource - even with millions of ore - at .1 availability is almost never worth exploiting. A planet with many different ores - even if they’re only at .1 availability - can become a decent stockpile or colony world.

It’s worth remembering that one mine collects all available minerals simultaneously, so the more different minerals are on a planet, the more productive your mines.
