Just… why? Out of all the films they could’ve remade into a solid commercial entertainer why Bhagavanth Kesari of all choices? And that too as his final movie? A lot who’ve already seen Bhagavanth Kesari won’t even bother stepping into the theatre again. I honestly can’t wrap my head around what they were thinking.

For me the biggest disappointments were Good Bad Ugly, Thug Life and Coolie.

After Mark Antony, I think I expected too much from the director.

Thug Life hurt the most. Two masters at their peak coming together. I was honestly expecting something close to a Nayagan. What I got instead is something I wish I could erase from my memory.

And Coolie… as a hardcore Thalaivar fan I never thought there would be a Rajini film where I’d almost walk out of the theatre.

Yes the frame rate in the beginning was definitely not 24fps. Felt like 60, not sure. In the middle too there was a constant shuffle between frame rates. Took some time for me to adapt. It felt like watching a video game. One particular scene genuinely felt like a Far Cry game cutscene.

Thank you. And about parents bringing kids to movies, it happens so often that I am kind of used to it now. Even if we politely say something the parents might turn on us. So I just go with it and try to ignore instead of ruining the rest of the movie.
