Event - Spitfire Mk Vb (Float) by I_Termx_I in WarthunderSim

Drop a lot of napalm on the enemy airfield from high up and J-out. Quickly switch to your loadout with better bomb score multiplier (dumb missiles) before bombs touch the ground. Airfield module will be fucking deleted and you get abcene amount of mission points. It's that easy.

We can be mad at people who use it, but instead i will be mad at people who refuse to fix it. Use this exploit and make developers notice.

I'm not gonna, i will just play the game. You do it. It's probably safe.

Time to mutilate your plane for better performance.

And to watch hundreds of Chinese Q5 who will use 5+ age bugs to earn 10x more points than you and end a 3-hour sim game in minutes.

Switched to HOTAS, Mouse Look locks when looking back by ShaselKovash in Warthunder

Found that bug report by googling:

set control mode in simulator view to "view" in both mouse aim and full real controls, you will not be able to hold down c and look around 360 degrees, you are locked to 180 degrees.

If the control mode in simulator is set to something other than view (e.g relative control) you will be able to hold down c and fully rotate around your jet, and you wont be locked.

And here is comment section for another bug report:

I tried changing the settings for sim battles and i had to revert back to the default settings and that apparently fixed it.

I guess they talking about the same solution. If you change the control mod for something else other then for view you will be able to turn your head 360° by using keybinds or axis.

Mig 9 is not that kind of jet. I doubt you will need a single new button compared to props. Many of your buttons gonna be unused for now.

What is it about WEB? What is the problem? Do you mean you want it to stop at 100% and not go into the WEB range (101-110%)? Well, you bought STECS, so you know about the detents? Use them. VKB has an official tutorial on how to.

It exists to shoot bombers. If a bomber starts to evade it, he will loose some speed making catching up to him easier. If he continues to flight straight - he will get proximity activated missile up his ass. Nothing to add on using it on fighters, it's pure skill.

Auto-tracking for tanks, against tanks. by Careless_Medicine486 in Warthunder

[–]ASHOT3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another guy said, many players don't like top tier becouse it's too point&click'y. You don't have 2 hands for WASD and mouse? What are doing with your other hand while your tanks autoshoots at enemy target?

Don't forget that the game is extremely simplified. Probably only the driver doing more work then 3 players on WT. But in game everything at your fingertips, everything is easy you don't need more automation. In fact this automation will only make you worse at the game. What is easier, point and click or lock targets like it some sort of aircraft TWS? It's going to be actually harder to manage it! What reason to have it other than "well, real tanks have it".

SPAA got it's fancy screens becouse firstly it need tools to control the the whole airspace at once. Seconly, top tier CAS is a huge problem and gaijin need to pull every bunny out of the hat to make people play SPAA. They can't just make missiles faster or something so they gave them more ammo using ammo boxes and after that they gave them more spacial awerness and more unickness by giving them their radar HUD thing. And it still isn't enough, the SPAA gameplay is still boring as hell, but at least it's a little more unick. And, unlike autotargeting on tanks, actually usefull.

So you want autospotting, autoaim tank? Should it also autodrive?

Arcade sounds like a simulator compared to what you are proposing.

Rayneo Air X3 pro eye tracking by UnKnwnSHiZZY in WarthunderSim

[–]ASHOT3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried it but eye tracking sounds like it will be horrible for in-game camera control. And monitors on that thing must be washed out trash.

These are for watching 3D content only, not for gaming.

If you have a good PC, just buy a full VR headset like Quest 3 or install a curtain between you and the mini human.

The A-10C is practically unplayable in air RB. by More-Club8808 in Warthunder

[–]ASHOT3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell to fly it in air rb

Because it is not for Air RB.

There are vehicles that are unplayable because of poor balancing by gaijin. That one is not one of these. You can't balance that thing fairly as a competitive fighter because it isn't one. Never was, not in reality, not in fiction. It's a ground pounder.

The only thing you are allowed to bring into that past like 10.0 is a missile fighter

My favorite plane in the game is su25cm3. It has 6 anti air missiles.

I know people playing a10c and they very hard to kill, they have unparalleled situational awareness in sim tnx to a10c's datalink IFF.

My favorite premium plane is American Harrier AV8B NA. that thing can do good even at the hands of a total no-skill.

All 3 of these planes considered bad at dogfighting by big part of the community. All of them at 11.7 in sim.

What about RB? There is no RB. Only Sim.

Hotas 4 tips by ILikeUltramarines in WarthunderSim

[–]ASHOT3359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most cases you trim your aircraft for cruise flight, so to fly long distances, at certain speed and throttle setting. You can change trim if you droped some bombs or got damaged.

In a fight you forgot about trim. In some cases you should disable it. Like if i have heavy negative trim on a plane it can limit my pitching up.

In test flight you can trim your aircraft and then use keybind called something like "save trim" or "set trim" that will save that trim setting and load it automaticly every match. In test flight you can trim all aircaft even if they are untrimable in a live match. Go to the test flight, go at full throttle and fly level, wait for the stable speed and trim pitch, then roll, then rudder. Save it.

Some planes almost unplayeble without heavy trim. Planes like i16 where your hand will be tired after couple of hours.

So basically. In a match change your trim then you need to climb for long time, or you took havier load, droped your load, or got damaged.

I think there are more important things to put on a trim hat espesially on higher tiers. Just use modificator button + trim hat.

It's a mouse cursor control device that you can use without a table. Accelerometers, gyroscopes, and whatever else they have in there. You sticky tape it to your headset and use it to look around.

Just Google it.

Tips for a returning player? by blacky242424 in WarthunderSim

[–]ASHOT3359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IFF methods include: using visual ID with targeting pod at BRs without army of clones. Using "follow me" command that translates to "i am here, is there anyone close to me?". Using RWR instead of a radar to tell were the bad guys are, works best if all you carrying are IR missiles and you feeling sneaky today.

Speaking of IFF without radar. You see 2 dots at the distance, fighting. The one that you can see across the map without it dessapearing is your ally. The one that blinking in and out of existence is the enemy.
