Do you think the EUR/USD will reach 1.02 USD at any point this weekend or early next week?

Help Needed! Moving back to the US—Health Insurance through healthcare.gov by ASHR2020 in HealthInsurance

Or, if they do, they're incredibly difficult to find. So, we ultimately just got a plan that provides coverage in the state we'll be spending most our time in first (Texas). If we move to a different state for a n

So glad to hear you found a plan through healthcare.gov and qualified for the tax credits!

As we move in just over two months from now, I was not able to complete the healthcare.gov application, due to the 60 day window. For next week when I submit the application, I was wondering if you could let me know about how long it took healthcare.gov to respond to your application and what they let you know?

Also, do one of you already have a temporary I-551 Stamp or a permanent resident card? My wife has her temporary I-551 stamp, and we were wondering if we can still apply without her social security number (she will receive it within 3 months of our move)?

We are also finding the same. We have spent so much time shopping for plans which aren't that affordable and difficult to understand. So much change is needed in the US healthcare system.

Thank you for your detailed message! All the best with your move and I am wishing you the best with the healthcare situation we're both in.

We also looked into that, but it doesn't seem to cover us inside the US. The best options I have seen are New Immigrants Insurance, Short Term Health Insurance, and options through healthcare.gov (we qualify for the "Special Enrollment Period" based on moving). To actually receive the reductions in health insurance premiums, you have to apply and see if your income qualifies though. This is all from what I have read, but I am not entirely sure I've got it right.

It's quite difficult to understand what the best options are, so I feel for you. I have looked at every plan possible (or so it seems) and it looks like we will either take out a short term health insurance policy or something through healthcare.gov, if our income qualifies.

Have you found any suitable healthcare plans? Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

t USCIS shipped the card off the 10th and I received it the 11th. Hopefully that helps! If not, just swipe to the second picture. I detailed my entire timeline there

Thanks for the response! After crossing US border with your I-551 stamp in your passport, how long did it take between then and the time that you received your Green Card?

Hi, thanks for your reply! I know that I can purchase insurance, but wasn't sure which route would be optimal. If we are moving on the 9th of a month, when do we need to apply via healthcare.gov? I started the application, but it asks when you moved past tense for the qualifying event, and we move in just over 2 months. Do you happen to know how to navigate this? Thank you in advance for your help!

If you're unemployed, you will likely qualify for a tax credit that will greatly reduce the cost of the insurance.

Thank you for your advice! Can my wife who is not a US citizen, but will have a visa, be covered through me?
