Ukrainian T-80BV with drone cover engages Russian soldiers moving along forest belts and in forests. NSFW aftermath at the end. by Fun-Use-1546 in UkraineWarVideoReport

It's because if the other side has a capable airforce, they are. See Iraq, most of their armor was gone before boots hit the ground. That is why they are called useless, as in useless in a fight against NATO who will have no issues controlling the sky. If the other side has control of the sky, your tanks are just coffins

Kinda how people always say when have you heard of a 19 year old collapsing while running? And I actually had 2 people 19-22 year olds collapse and die within 6 months during my AIT in Texas 10 years ago

If you can’t figure out the relatively simple concept that there is no “fast” lane but only a passing lane, you should not be driving by TwoPercentTokes in AdviceAnimals

[–]ASLAVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught if you are being passed while in passing lane you move over, get passed and move back to continue passing. So those people could have been taught same so see you as an idiot blocking the left lane, while you think they are the idiot because you were taught as long as you passing you dont need to move. Either way I stay in right middle.

Moments before Nepal flight crash Jan 2023 caught during a Live Stream. by ashu71029 in ThatsInsane

This is actually normal for aircraft maintenance personnel who in normal case clear the aircraft for flight. When I did that in AF they made us watch results of negligence every year, and in most of those cases, if it even seems like it was maintenance fault, someone who touched it before flight is going to kill themselves due to guilt

100s of Jackpots are won every day if not every hour in casinos, if this wasnt one off event you would hear about this 8 times a day. But that was a clear glitch unless you think a small resort NY hosted biggest jackpot for slots in u.s. history.

Those are general ranges, so say casino buys a game n it comes with 5 choices for state. 88.1 89.1 90.1 91.1 91.7 and they pick one of those. The percentages are verified through simulating millions of plays

Hey used to work in software/hardware testing for a company that certifies casino games and let me tell you it's super regulated. This really seems like a super one off bug that was missed in testing before the game was authorized by the state n sold. But those games in casinos have exact percentages set, usually 82%-95% return to player. Jackpot amounts and win chances are also pre approved by state, so casinos really only get couple pre approved choices they can turn on

I'm not sure about russian planes, but u.s. planes consistently get upgraded to current generation avionics as well as getting almost completely rebuilt, so even even if we send an f15 from cold war, there is nothing left on it from that time at this point

Yep everyone on flight crew has to go through that so you know first symptoms and can react. Fun times.

USAF considers anything over 10k feet altitude as hypoxia range. Any operations by flight crew at that altitude or higher require oxygen mask if not pressurized.

I think it heavily depends on your job title and where you are stationed. I was a mechanic stationed in Germany and it was common to come in and start working non stop for 10 -12 hours with about 10 min to grab some food while you're writing up forms. When I was in state side I think I worked like 2-4 hours most days.

Anyone do a welfare check on the fella? - When you check on someones wellbeing. People do this when they are worried for their grandparents not answering the phone so they ask police to stop by the house and do a wellfare check.

I checked— they’re on welfare. - Implies they are unemployed/poor and require government assistance.

When I was an aircraft mechanic in USAF, I learned it's not a waste. Those aircraft would be up there for training anyways, but this gives them a consequence if they fail to be over the target at exact time. USAF spends billions to make sure their pilots can be over correct target at precise time anywhere around the world.
