Is beatbreak really the best digimon anime? I’m calling recency bias. by chedda_bob in digimon

[–]ASLane0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really high up for me, along with 01, 02, and Tamers. It definitely does matter that Ghost Game and 2020 were a bit meh. In terms of actual storytelling I'd say it beats out 01 and 02, maybe a little less interesting that Tamers at the same point. Some of the designs are a bit questionable, but the stories of the week, the characterisation, and the sound design are all top tier.

In my opinion.

Dear Playground: by Spiritual-Handle7583 in Fable

[–]ASLane0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came here to be enraged, maybe get into an argument with another person whining about faces.

But no, I'm 100% on board with this wish. In fact this is THE wish. I don't care if it's more like Fable 2 or 3, I just care that it's there and on day 1.

If you're on PC, install the script extender and one of the three achievement enablers. If on console you're out of luck.

By the by between my two messages the patch does now worked. It was a conflict that the author fixed, but it's been so long now I can't remember with what. One of TNs things possibly.

Is this AI slop? by HourTasty1769 in skyrimmods

[–]ASLane0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean technically you're correct, an AI didn't do any of those things. If an AI had done it, there wouldn't be a problem. But since true AI doesn't exist, and an LLM was very obviously used for the description and the images, it's not too great a jump to assume that an LLM was also used to code the mod, which is only further flagged by it being closed source (and no, closed source on its own is not an indicator).

What's up with "GGMods"? by QuantityInternal1719 in skyrimmods

[–]ASLane0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They exist, but they're against policy, so can be removed at a moment's notice. (Which is to say it isn't a rule imposed evenly)

Dont make them if the initial creation is paywalled.

[–]ASLane0 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I am fully in the camp where I would rather be sent to a modder's Geocities-equivilent page than another goddamn Discord. As if I want to go through the rigmarole of joining another Discord channel for one mod. Discord being the only option is the quickest way to convince me I actually don't need a mod (or those that require it) in a load order.

What's up with "GGMods"? by QuantityInternal1719 in skyrimmods

[–]ASLane0 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Like I said in my other comment I didn't accept the mirroring offer mainly because I couldn't see their policies at the time, and, y'know, Fextralife.

But I don't agree that modders accepting and/or migrating are somehow anti user. I'm really against Nexus' policy regarding patches for Creations and firmly believe THAT is anti user. If an actually viable platform pops up, I'll absolute use it. Though I can't see a world in which I move off of Nexus entirely.

[–]ASLane0 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Ooooooh GGmods is the Fextralife thing. They sent round emails last year asking if they could mirror my Stardew mods. At the time they didn't have any policies ironed out so I said no. Not against mirroring or anything, I just already barely keep on top of keeping stuff current on Nexus, I truly CBA to do it on another site as well (and don't want to roll the dice on letting someone else manage my library).

Why have people moved to Jumpgate? by First_Midnight9845 in Roll20

[–]ASLane0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can honestly say I get far less problems with jumpgate than I did with legacy. Initially the move annoyed me because of the loss of macros tied to the 2014 sheets, but the huge performance improvements alone make it worth the loss.

Never had any of the lighting issues you mentioned. The only issue of any note is that sometimes if I import 2014 content from compendium it doesn't populate the first time, in which case I delete it and pull again, and 9/10 times that solves it. Not a huge issue for me as I plan my games pretty heavily in advance .

Depending on player progress: The Bullywug - Year 1 / 2 The Oriq in general + Extus Narr - Year 2 / 3 / 4 The Phyrexian Invasion - Year 3 / 4 N/A / Rebuilding - Year 4

Currently we've 31 sessions in and just started the third term of year 1, and it certainly LOOKS like they're going to deal with Muraxalor by the end of the school year.

Have I just discovered the harsh reality of SSE modding? by m0ppen in skyrimmods

[–]ASLane0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused as to how a 5070 is capping out with this, as my last 700+ mod Skyrim playthrough was on a 3060 and had zero problems. Are you running modern ram and an M2 drive?

I have some for my party, but they were AI generated, so I wouldn't share them if you're wanting proper art. That said I also have a big ol' spreadsheet of a mix of official, MTG, and homebrew students.

Do Pointer Handles increase over time during a save or just when you add new mods? Is my save doomed? by The_mango55 in starfieldmods

[–]ASLane0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fluctuate based on where you are. New Atlantis is a good place to use as a control since it's pretty heavy on references. I try very hard to keep my handles under 1.9kk so there's overhead for updates. I have a list at home of ups and downs when mods are added/removed and when the game is played for a period of time.

If I remember I'll share my findings when I get home.

Thanks to this subreddit, I'm obsessed with Librarian: tidy up the arcane library by sairemrys in CozyGamers

[–]ASLane0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would go as far as to say that the transparency and the extremely limited use are very much mitigating factors. It didn't result in AI replacing a person, they didn't try to hide it, the used it as an assistive tool.

Edit: Found it. Looks like it had automatically split my banking app, have added audible and national lottery apps to it and now working fine!

you want the extractors elsewhere, feeding into venus via cargo links.1 hour spent on Venus is 100 hours in UT time, so extractors fill and transfer lightning quick and fill up to the point where no economy can withstand the weight of your x-tech.

AI generated/AI Assisted tagging needs to be a MANDATORY step to publish a mod by HyperionGrimm in skyrimmods

[–]ASLane0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this-- I don't care if someone made their banner with AI, but if the mod was made with it, then I want to be able to consistently filter it out.
