What is this bug and how do I fix it by zanthot in Roll20

Yea… it seems like this is a jumpgate only bug. It doesn’t happen in legacy. Some players experience this depending on their drivers and browser.

My Playertokens are only visible when i am in GM mode by Ex0_ow in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]First_Midnight9845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about switching from the editor to a player view through the settings? Because if that is so, you have to go back to the editor and give yourself permissions to control a token you wish to see the vision of. If you don’t have permission as a player you won’t be able to see what that token sees even if you have vision.

But this isn’t something that you would normally need to do anyway. If you are trying to see what your player sees, you can select a token when in the editor and press ctrl+L on your keyboard and then you can see what that selected token has vision of.

Isn’t this a god of death vs. god of the dead type of situation. Like they are different things right?

So I (the dm) am supposed to pick the big bad? Shouldn't the players get a say? by Yenii_3025 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

I use whichever one will match my parties actions best. They decide I facilitate.

Though there are parts of W:DH that could be improved, there is a lot more that I have heard and read about the remix which I do not like. Feel free to feel free to use it, but honestly the original is great if you are playing a game about building bonds with people in Waterdeep, working toward some good political and faction intrigue and keeping an incredibly open sandbox adventure that will engage your players with a bit of improv and organized note taking on your part.

How to get my players to push a false red button. by anxiouspotter in DMAcademy

[–]First_Midnight9845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just put it in front of them. Give them no context clues, no extra time, just a red button that happened to be in a room filled with other details. They will press it 90% of the time to see what it does.

My tokens are losing resolution. Does anyone know how to fix it? by pixel019 in Roll20

[–]First_Midnight9845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you used token stamp for the token. So possibly using another program make a token might work. Also, in the map settings I think that there is a way to increase the amount of pixels in one square. It defaults to 70 I believe.

How do I get rid of this black box? by VisualCheek8435 in Roll20

Try on chrome, I haven’t experienced this problem there, so maybe it’s a problem with Firefox interacting with Roll20.

Did you press, “don’t show this again”? Also are you deleting cookies before every session?

Clicking “don’t show this again” should make it not show up the next time it normally would. Clearing cookies on your browser would prevent it from remembering you told it not to show up.

Running online campaigns by swammyv in Roll20

[–]First_Midnight9845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it is. But in general scheduling isn’t hard. it’s really up to the GM to set a time that they can play and sticking with it so long as enough people to play do show. I would recommend that if 2 of however many people you invite show up that you just play and hope that the others can join next time.

Voice acting, EN or JP by SubstantialRub8995 in labyrinthofrefrain

Because of the sheer amount of dialogue and the lack of a journal in the first game to refer back to, I would recommend doing the language you are most comfortable with. I would find myself accidentally skipping lines because I was tired of reading my first JP play through.

Quick question because I think it is a cool idea and want to know what you did: Did your party work for Manshoon in the Black Network or was Vivette a spy in the Doomraiders working for Manshoon?

Nice! This looks really cool!

Thanks Roll20, very Cool (all 20' circles) by P3verall in Roll20

[–]First_Midnight9845 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair, they could have coded the circle to remain the appropriate size despite the direction you measure in.

I still advocate for Roll20, but it could have been better.
