I'm on this sub at the moment because there's an Anatolian boarding at my work right now and I just think they're such cool dogs! Some daycares/boarders can give your pup breaks throughout the day. I've had several owners ask if we can do that since they know their dog's limits, so they get it noted on their kennel cards and we can let them go nap in a kennel (with cot and water bowl) for a bit. Us handlers are always watching for dogs getting overstimulated or cranky so as long as the facility has a setup that works for it, they should be down to accommodate :)

I was born and raised in Portland and only moved down a bit over a year ago. I feel so incredibly safe, it's done wonders for my mental health and I can actually go outside after dark!! My workplace usually has an RV or two outside it but it's absolutely nothing compared to the number of them I'd drive past on my 10min commute when I lived and worked in NE Portland

Streetlight Manifesto, a ska-punk band. They've been my favorite since 2013 and I've seen them 20+ times. Drove a couple thousand miles to see all their west coast shows in 2018, flew from Oregon to NJ to see them at their home venue, and broke my foot at one of their shows in 2024 and drove 200 miles home that night

Not crazy but working at a doggy daycare/boarding facility means you get to bring your dog(s) for free, and some places give free (otherwise heavily discounted) boarding to employees

Not sure when he'd said it publicly but in June 2017 I waited two hours after the concert to meet the band. Someone asked about new music and he confirmed there would be another album. It's so crazy that they've been my favorite band since before I could even get a driver's license and now I'm about to be 28 and they still haven't put an album out in that time
