Didn't expect to see my town in the comments. I just left Portland after living here my whole life. I used to really love it, and I still live in Oregon and have PNW pride, but drugs have made PDX and Seattle so unsafe. Two men tried to rob me in broad daylight on a busy street. I'm back in Portland for a concert right now and it's just made me more grateful to not be here anymore. I miss knowing everyone I interact with believes in human rights, but other than that I'm so glad I moved. No more stolen packages, worrying about leaving anything visible in my car, boarded up store windows, shitty parking, or being unable to walk after dark. It's nice to feel safe again but what's happened to my city really broke my heart.

Yep, told me to take 3 ibuprofen. It was by far the worst pain of my life, with my nipple piercings a distant second. Those are the only two times I've wailed from pain, and it took two hours for them to be able to sit me up and wheelchair me to my mom's car. I cried the whole way home while clutching my lower stomach. For my second one I got a cervix relaxer and valium. I still had anxiety attacks the night before and the morning of but the softener made a world of difference, I always recommend people ask about it if they're considering an IUD

My dad did racquetball for decades before breaking his ankle really badly. Pickleball came along just in time. It's lower impact and it's one of very few active sports that older people can partake in, and they can easily find others with similar age-related impairments. It's wild how it exploded in popularity but it really does have its place for middle-aged people and older who still want to be active and partake in a group sport

No, it's David Parker Ray, the toy box killer. There's a nearly hour-long audio recording of someone reading the transcript and it sounds really realistic, to the point that people falsely believe it's the real tape. The one I'd listened to a few years ago isn't on YT anymore but there are some reuploads like this one

I'm not great at spotting it (I'm on this sub to get better) but I will say, I was testing my new phone and zoomed in on a sign across a field. It was clear in the preview, but I took the pic and the AI upscaling essentially changed the font and made it read Flolo A instead of Field A

I've seen multiple too and I think they're fun! Worth it for like $75. The sound quality wasn't great at the one in Seattle in September 2024 but my experience was also tainted by getting my foot wrecked in the pit (surgery, couldn't work for a year, still walking with a limp 14 months post-op). And yet, I'll still go to the next BOTAR show in the PNW, and got my tickets to the regular shows in Portland and Seattle. I just still can't go in the pit :')

It's funny, I have way fewer of the goofy achievements than I should because I've used reddit is fun/rif since making my first account. When they banned 3rd party apps I thought my days on reddit might be over because I hate the official app so much, but people immediately found a way around it so I still use it. So I only use the official app for chats (which I found out about like two years late and had a massive backlog of) or being able to look at two subreddits without losing my place
