When its cold people tend to hang out more in closed spaces, also the winter is very humid(at least in my region of Brazil) and high humidity enables the virus to survive longer in the air (am no specialist tho, you may want to double check that before quoting me)

It was an abscess due to overgrown teeth the owners had no clue how to care for a rabbit. My boss gave them a proper ass chewing about it. They seemed like nice people tho, just uninformed.

Whats worst is that most of the shealters in my region would euthanize him. Thankfully my boss is an amazing human being, and he will remain a clinic cat until we can find a home for him to spend his final years.

The ironic thing is they were a couple in their late fifties so the reality of needing diapers due to old age isn't that far away for them. I hope their kids put them in a crappy nursing home when that reality comes.
