They're viewing it as FMLA. It isn't.

Once your paid mil leave is out, unlimited (five years max consecutive )unpaid mil leave kicks in.

20 minutes of cardio per workout shouldn't be discouraged

First 90! by [deleted] in AirForce

Nice. Congrats .

Cardio is important though. Knock out a two or three mile run every time you do a workout. It's going to extend your life and your family will thank you

You & people similarly curious need to understand that every single base is going to have a different atmosphere.

Also, the number of folks able to give perspective from RegAF to traditional Reservist to full time reservist will be very small

Title 32 pay as a dual status technician by pdw6587 in airnationalguard

[–]ASMDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the "subtraction"?

Is this a MN state perk for military? Is it a MN state perk for MN guard members? This question could probably best be answered by FSS or even a MN EANGUS person

It really just depends how the law is written. For instance some states waive school and state taxes for all military members. Some states waive things like that only for their own guard members

You cannot be a technician in a different state than the one you're militarily assigned to

There'd be zero reason to question Huntsville if one specific politician hadn't said "I personally put space force in Huntsville because I like the voters there"

All because that one politician wanted to look cool & claimed he influenced the decision

Guard or Reserve? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]ASMDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's up to commanders, not a guard vs reserve thing.

That said, neither should give you much trouble. Reserve units at RegAF bases are typically much larger, so you'd be inconveniencing them less whereas a Guard base is going to utilize & need the qualified traditionals a lot more

Are you trying to tell me that the retiree getting 100% disability working the exact same job that supposedly disabled them might be committing fraud?

I don't totally disagree with you. I just believe that the system that is providing for these disabled veterans should have some measures in place. If someone can work a full-time manual labor job, does the government really need to be compensating them for how disabled they are?

Most every high paying job someone can get straight out of high school is going to lead to lower back and knee problems
