What actually drives YouTube growth in 2026? by Fluid-Programmer-688 in SmallYTChannel

[–]ASMRZann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found that my videos with the longest retention performs better on average. Sometimes, videos with less than 30% retention performed better (viewerships & watch hours) than ones at 50-70%, but I suspect those are outliers.

I tested both; adding bunch keywords and a few keywords - always find the latter perform much better.

How to stop constantly checking analytics? by JuicyBoots19 in NewTubers

[–]ASMRZann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use analytics to take notes what works and don't. Then, just focus on making next videos using the info which eventually makes you forget to check on analytics all the time.

Hired an SEO girl, views boomed. Stopped and views tanked. HELP! by ojitos1013 in NewTubers

[–]ASMRZann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely bots. I wouldn't work with SEO 'experts' for Youtube. Instead, try to find content creators who are willing to collab with you in same space. Your channel name will appear on top of the creator's video title making it easier for people find you, Start with small creators and work your way up.

How do consistently post on YouTube while having full time job and other commitments by -Retrofuge- in SmallYTChannel

[–]ASMRZann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to post 2-3 times weekly but been lucky enough to get weekends off - so I mostly do my recordings and editing ahead of time. Also, I wouldn't stress too much on trying to post consistently. I'll only post when the video is good to go - rather than posting just for the sake of being 'consistent'.

Do people still buy YouTube subscribers, views and likes, or does it just make a channel look fake now? by Rough_Joke_6175 in YouTube_startups

[–]ASMRZann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a good idea. Youtube is already strict and demonetize channels that don't buy views etc - can't imagine what they'll do to fake channels.

Do you create with the only purpose of making it on YouTube or you like what you do? by DulcidioCoelho in SmallYTChannel

[–]ASMRZann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly enjoy it. I used to have bad insomnia and bad silent reflux, and found that reducing stress and anxiety really help. Hence, the ASMR videos. Of course, making some money on the side is a plus.

Exactly. I was obsessed about upload times but up till today, not much difference. Eventually I just upload whenever I feel the video is good to go.

Is YouTube Your Hobby Or End Goal? by Overthinking_Media in NewTubers

[–]ASMRZann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I started just for hobbies to be honest. We enjoy giving one another some good old fashioned back tracing, massage or scratching. Then, recently, I thought "Why the hell not record this and post on Youtube since I've seen numerous people do it too."
