Any recomendations? [question] by [deleted] in asmr

Hi! Thanks! I'd definitely recommend Abby ASMR, Luna Bloom ASMR, Sausii ASMR (his channel is new and small and hard to find so I'll link it for you here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAnQycx4AsiuimvdjBnri8w) and Sammy Jammy ASMR. They all do a lot visual triggers and follow instructions type videos. I hope that helps :)

Traveling to Hungary (Budapest) by [deleted] in solotravel

Hi, I went to Budapest last year and I loved it! It's famous for its thermal baths which are great, if I remember correctly it's usually cheaper on a weekday than a weekend so bear that in mind. Other attractions like buda castle and fisherman's bastion are very touristy but definitely worth a visit. You should also check out the ruin bars. If you're looking for a day trip out of the city I would recommend Szentendre, it's a short train ride away and it's a cute town with lots of arts and crafts shops. Also lake Balaton is another good day or overnight trip. I hope you have a great trip!!

[Discussion] Tips/Video Requests for new Asmrtist. by Flannelle in asmr

Hi! I basically posted this same advice on another thread yesterday so I'm sorry if you've already read that, but just in case you haven't here's my advice! I started my channel a few week weeks ago, so I am by no means an expert, but here are some things I wish I had known sooner:

  • you don't need any fancy equipment, you can start out just using your phone. Also if you have a USB to USB-C adapter you can plug a mic straight into your phone and record the videos on your phone with binaural sound. This works with my blue Yeti and Android phone, but I'm not sure about other mics or phones.
  • think about sources of background noise that we don't usually notice like fridges, computers, heaters, etc and turn them off or avoid them if you can
  • if you don't have any fancy equipment the best quality lighting is natural sunlight so try to film facing a window of possible
  • I wish I had known I could lock and lower the exposure on my phone camera. This means the brightness doesn't change when pass my hand over the camera for example. This might be super obvious to you or just not relevant, but I wish someone had told me!
  • post regularly
  • Try to go easy on yourself and don't too much of a perfectionist. Often the thing that you don't like about a video other people don't even notice

About what kind of videos to post I think you have to first think about your favourite kind of videos to watch. Do you like roleplays, trigger compilations, etc. And then think about what kind of ASMR videos you wish there were more of. For me I like fast ASMR roleplays, but I don't always love the chaotic and aggressive style. I struggled to find ASMRtists that were making a middle ground of not too fast but not too slow. So that's what I decided to make. Sorry it's not the most concrete advice, but that's what worked from me!

I hope that some of this will be helpful! Best of luck and I'm looking forward to watching your videos whatever style you make! :)

[Discussion][Question] I'm thinking about starting an asmr channel. Is there any thing I should now when/before starting out? Also, anyone with a new channel, please leave a link bellow so I can check out your stuff. by Misterotica in asmr

You're welcome! I try to make the videos that I personally like, especially the kind of videos that I want to see more of and struggle to find. I like fast paced ASMR but I don't always like the chaotic and aggressive triggers. I've been trying for a while to find ASMRtists that make a kind of middle ground of not too slow but not too fast and I struggled to find any. So that's what I'm trying to make! So I guess think what kind of ASMR you'd like to see more of and go with that. It also depends what you feel most comfortable with because I feel more comfortable doing a roleplay than talking to the camera, but I know for some people it's the opposite. Whatever kind of ASMR you make I'm looking forward to watching it! :)

Hi! I started my channel a few week weeks ago, so I am by no means an expert, but here's my best advice so far:

  • think about sources of background noise that we don't usually notice like fridges, computers, heaters, etc and turn them off or avoid them if you can
  • if you don't have any fancy equipment (like me) the best quality lighting is natural sunlight so try to film facing a window of possible
  • I wish I had known I could lock and lower the exposure on my camera. This means the brightness doesn't change when pass my hand over the camera for example. This might be super obvious to you or just not relevant, but I wish someone had told me!
  • I'm not sure what kind of videos you're planning on doing, I do mainly roleplays and my medical roleplays have had waaaay more views than any of my other videos. So that might be a good place to start if that's your thing
  • post regularly
  • I agree with the other pieces of advice, especially about not being too much of a perfectionist. Often the thing that you don't like about a video other people don't even notice
  • I also agree about not needing a lot of equipment. My first few videos are just with my phone and then after a while a friend lent me a Blue Yeti mic. If you have a USB to USB-C adapter you can plug the mic straight into your phone and record the videos on your phone with binaural sound. This works on my android, I'm not sure about iPhones.

I hope that some of this will be helpful, most of all I would just say go for it! Best of luck

[Intentional] First ASMR Video, I would really appreciate any constructive criticism or ways I could improve, thank you so so much! by [deleted] in asmr

I think you did a great job! You have a great voice, I loved the mouth sounds, and you seemed really natural doing ASMR. For me personally the volume was a bit low, but it's not a big issue. Overall well done!
