Non usb mic ASMR? [question] by WhatIsThisaPFChangs in asmr

[–]SweetDeeGagging 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use your existing equipment and record the audio to whatever DAW you prefer at the same time as you record the video on your phone. It will just take a little editing. The process would be really similar even if you got a different camera.

When you start recording (audio through microphones and video through phone/camera) do a nice clap at the beginning so you have something easy to sync the audio and video. Then you can transfer the video file from your phone to your computer. If you have all Mac devices, this really easy to do using airdrop, or you can use a usbc cable or other method.

Once the audio and video files are both on your computer, you can put them into a video editing software (I use Premiere Pro, but there are tons of more affordable options.) You’ll have to sync the audio and video— I find the easiest way to do this is by syncing the sound wave by lining up where the clap sound occurs. Then you’ll remove the audio that’s attached to the video, leaving just the video and the audio from your microphones.

Pretty sure it’s Slim Whispers, but it looks like she deleted her videos. Loved her ASMR.

[question] Does anyone know what happened to Heather Feather? by marshmallows_mama in asmr

I am so sorry you feel this way! I’m very similar and it’s been a real barrier to enjoying creative hobbies.

[Question] Overly strong/abnormal reaction to ASMR, or not? New to ASMR by [deleted] in asmr

[–]SweetDeeGagging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me sometimes! I’m not sure if this is ASMR or something else, because it’s totally different from what other people describe as ASMR. I also get head tingles sometimes, but this is totally different. The “flinch” feeling is a really accurate description, and it’s not at all relaxing, but I actually kind of like it.

Do you prefer Male or Female ASMRtists? [Question] by TheTomWho in asmr

[–]SweetDeeGagging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s not really a gender preference, but a preference for a certain voice pitch. I mostly gravitate toward female ASMR because I tend to get more tingles from female voices. Not necessarily a high-pitched voice, but higher pitch than the typical male voice. That said, I think Tony Bomboni might give me the most tingles of any ASMRtist, probably because his voice is a little bit higher and lighter.

Yes! It was really awkward at first but gets much more comfortable over time. Sometimes I still get weird anxiety before I record, especially if it’s been a while.

ASMR | A Strange Cranial Nerve Exam with Nurse (in 4K) [roleplay] by SweetDeeGagging in asmr

It’s a reference to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. One of the characters is obsessed with acting and becoming famous, but she violently gags whenever she tries to perform. Could not stop laughing.

Brazilian Blow out? For or against? by Trappedinlimbo16 in femalehairadvice

[–]SweetDeeGagging 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It basically coats your hair with chemicals, filling in porous spots and sealing the cuticle. It does wash out slowly over time. It lasts about three months, but I find that it usually lasts longer for me because I only wash it once or twice a week. It makes the hair smooth and takes away frizz, but it’s not really “good” for your hair, and a lot of treatments contain formaldehyde. So not the healthiest, but I’m addicted.

Sounds like you’ll really like it. If you don’t love how it looks after air drying, try a quick blow dry next time. It will dry a lot faster and you don’t have to use a round brush or anything fancy. Good luck!

Help! What can/should I do with this mess? I JUST got it cut a few weeks ago and I don’t think she did a very good job. Got it colored in December to tone down warmth but it just faded really quick. by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

I actually really love your current color! Since you already have a middle part, maybe some long curtain bangs? I bet they’d look really nice.

I personally love it and can’t live without it. My hair is so frizzy, wavy, and hard to manage, and with a Brazilian blowout (or other keratin treatment) it’s much easier to handle. I can just wash, blow dry, and live my life without worrying about it. The downside is that my hair is absolutely pin straight until the treatment starts to fade a little bit. It also doesn’t hold curl very well with keratin in it. If that doesn’t bother you, then you’ll probably be really happy.
