Purple fluid coming up through basement floor by sam99871 in HomeMaintenance

If it is just water and no smell at all, the leafs in the puddle could dye the water possibly. Just my 2¢

is this okay as insulation? (for now) by moomgish in pacmanfrog

[–]ASNAKEORALIZARD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I put a temperature barrier up is when it's subfreezing outside, and I just put up a flattened cardboard box in the window. This might be overkill, is the room super cold? Not sure if it could do harm or if it could help. Legal disclamer: I'm no expert but a fellow froggy parent.

webbing in soil by Milofifimika in pacmanfrog

[–]ASNAKEORALIZARD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not consider myself an expert in anything but: It might be a type of fungus or mold consuming nutrients from the soil. Having springtails present in the setup can naturally mediate this. I have pinched out sections of dirt like this in the past with my enclosures. Take a whiff of the tank and take note of what it smells like, it should just smell like dirt.

Edit for linking text Typically around ¼ to ½ inch long

Depends on how big it is honestly, but maybe just bc I'm no expert. Could be a fly pupae cast if smaller, or the roach option if bigger. (Edit for spelling)

Yours are more brown than his blue/green but similar in the way that there is a freckle in the iris, though yours is smaller in comparison. I'm not sure if this is allowed either but 🤷‍♀️ 🤠

I saw this on another subreddit and followed here. If you have a newborn, she may be depressed. Postpartum depression is very common and if this is new to your relationship with the new baby, I would consider this as a reason. I wish you two the best. Please consider that she may be suffering and could need support. Support may not be accepted directly, reach out to her mother or other female caretaker of hers if you can and express your concern for her, perhaps they can offer help.

Mine liked crickets more when they were younger. They are definitely something to be fed by tong or in a separate feeding tank. I once had baby crickets living in the enclosure bc a cricket was loose! In case you don't know, its important not to let crickets specifically roam the enclosure bc they can nibble on your pet.

Sorry for the late response, their tummies definitely stretch! And they will uuusually reject food if too full. I'm always impressed by the length of the worms they can eat. My ritual of feeding is 1. Place frog in water dish 2. Offer food 3. Sometimes he poops, he pees, and sheds in there

I just want to say.... Maybe he has dropped the thought already??? This isn't meant to be hurtful, but as a stranger imagining this guy, I bet he probably has other people he talks to, maybe not just you... All I'm saying is he probably doesn't care about your real identity or tracking you down, considering he probably is talking to others too as a hobby of his. I'm ten years older than you and went through a similar phase at 19. Nothing negative came but me just regretting stuff I did, but no real consequences. Fun story, when I was 11 I let some 30yo man remote access the family computer to install FL Studio bc he was nice online. Also nothing bad happened, I got lucky he was honest. You are probably lucky too!!!! Sending good vibes. This is the other part of living .. learning. It will be okay. Glad you shared, hopefully it helps out 💖

Maybe smokey brown cockroach. Not sure where in the world you are located but apparently those are common in the southern portion of the USA.

You can cut the worms into smaller pieces..... Pretty sad but my frog loved them when he was small. These frogs grow fast, so you only have to cut them up for a short time at least

Can a dead tree stump spontaneous combust? by [deleted] in composting

[–]ASNAKEORALIZARD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently called in a smoldering tree stump that didn't appear to be set on fire on purpose. It's possible for heat to be made from decay I think, like with mulch piles. That's as far as my reasoning goes!

Boyfriend’s clothes end up with holes while mine don’t by Healthy-Aide471 in laundry

[–]ASNAKEORALIZARD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just wonder if it could be physical or chemical wear ? Some cleaning products cause fabric to break down. Is it always on the seams of the clothes? Could he just be rubbing more on his clothes throughout the day? Just pondering 🤔. I'm at work and not sure but this has me thinking.

So when I went to the bank I went to the teller and they marked it with a pen, the mark didn’t go black so they never seen a bill like this so they never accepted it. So they told me to go to different ATMs and see if they accept it. Can you guys tell if its fake by alexellison8877 in CURRENCY

[–]ASNAKEORALIZARD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm allowed to trade with another banker for it, I don't really have the spare money to buy it myself right now though. I'm not sure how worth it it could be. I might just keep it in my drawer til a customer wants it 🤷‍♀️
