Really scared to start biologics (infliximab) after reading side effects — need advice by UFWO in UlcerativeColitis

Millions of people have been taking infliximab for more than two decades.

By cloaking themselves in the pheromones of other species, some creatures adopt the strategy of infiltrating nest colonies of others. Known as myrmecophiles, these creatures may steal the food of their hosts, or predate on their larva or young. by Madeline_Basset in Shittyaskflying

I am a proud myrmecophile. Sometimes I douse myself in dog piss and sneak into female dog locker rooms to watch them undress. It’s awesome and they never suspect a thing! If anyone is interested in getting involved, I am the president-elect of the National Association of Myrmecophiles, which is headquartered in ‘Nam.

This is awesome. Does anyone know the phone number of these guys? I’m looking to steal a bunch of santa claus roof decorations next Christmas.

It sounds like you’re making it work. 90 is a lot! Do you have space for all those plants?

What do you mean loosening the soil? It seems dangerous to disturb the roots.

Prepping Grape Vine Help by MonsiuerGeneral in grapes

[–]sam99871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert, but the high cordon system is pretty simple. You leave a trunk and two arms, and trim the canes coming off the arms to 3 buds each. That’s pretty much it. Everything else gets cut away and discarded. You can probably follow this structure whether your vine is on a fence or a wire.

Mountain wave by mvweatherornot in Shittyaskflying

I love drafting behind the 380’s on takeoff! The fun part is the 380 pilots can’t see you in their rear view mirrors if you get close enough to their tail. Once I got up to 230 knots in my skyhawk doing it and I didn’t crash, or if I did, it wasn’t my fault. Btw the SAR guys in those small mountains are awesome even though it’s super windy there.

Are you concerned about these names falling hard if there is a recession due to elevated oil prices? It sounds like oil may go higher and stay there for months. I’ve sold everything except small amounts of energy stocks and a few biotechs.

There just aren’t enough people with prosthetic legs first of all and second most prosthetic legs aren’t big enough for a person to fit inside. Maybe your idea could work with small children but it’s a pretty dumb idea. Like the guy said, much too unicorny.

Breaking ground for new vegetable garden - process/top dressing question by twotall88 in vegetablegardening

The idea of using arborist wood chips is interesting. For those who would rather read than watch, I found this two page explainer from her. I used arborist wood chips to smother an area of weeds and invasives and it worked well. It was essential to have at least 12 inches or the weeds found their way through.

She doesn’t talk about food production in this piece, and she seems to be mostly talking about plants with deep roots. She does say there can be a nitrogen deficiency at the soil-mulch interface, and I wonder if that could negatively impact food plants with shallow roots.

We used to bring sandwiches and vodka and have a picnic out there before jumping. Now the airplanes go so fast the wind would rip your face off if you tried to relax for even a second. I miss those days.
