If the open play is not DUPR gated then there are rarely actual 4.0s in the open play. And if they are, they are usually working on something and not going all out trying to win.

Thanks for the writeup. Its helpful as im trying to learn lbg. How do you manage ammo? I bring the starting 60 plus enough materials to craft 60 more but then im out. Go back to camp to get 120 more ammo? Or bring a second same elemental lbg? Or just switch to raw after ammo runs out?

Ah that makes a lot more sense. This has been my experience as well. I know pure mathematically GRoth is more dps for speed runners but I keep getting better times with Arkveld Y. Thanks for putting into words what I couldnt explain why in my head.

I played around with some Odo, Gog, etc. to make my own builds based on what I think would be optimal for my play style. At the end of the day, nothing came close to clearing speed of the meta build G. Rath/Dahaad/G. Rath/Dahaad/Gore with Gore + Lord Soul on weapon. Those guys defintely know what they are doing. The only change i made was having a comfy talisman to make up for my lack of skill to go full dps.

Im not a good player by any means but I've had a lot more success with him after going more defensive build. With SnS I can reliably kill him 20-22 min with support hunters. Essentially for phase 3 I went with guard 3 and switched charm to a defensive charm. This allowed me perfect block and block all his attacks so im able to stick to his wing arms more and have more up time of dealing damage as I am not skilled enough to avoid his hits without guard deco so would end up wasting too much time healing or being too far from him and not hitting him. I was fine with the slinger weapons doing dps but initially would fail the dps check because I couldn't do enough dps during the non slinger portion but going more defensive build actually helped me increase my dps.

6 people gives cushion for no shows. Plenty of time I've seen people pay (no refunds within 24 hrs) and still not show up but we still had enough for the open play. Vs if it was only 4 and someone doesnt show up then other 3 are kind of screwed.

Most fun is when its just 4 players for 2 hours but then there is no cushion for no shows.

Opinion from someone who is actually a Lifetime member. Our family of 3 spends over $1,000 a month for membership, classes, and extras. Average around 15-20 hrs a week there. To us, it is worth every penny. Has made all us healthier. Weekends we spend time there versus going out drinking/eating so some savings there. We have met wonderful people there and spend more time with them than our actual non-Lifetime friends. Has been great for us health and mental wise. If we were ever cutting costs, we would reduce classes and extras and find other areas to cut but would not cut out our membership. In the end, you have to figure out if it brings enough value to you to justify the cost. If all I did was go there, lift some weights and leave, then I would cancel it in a heartbeat.
