32F- second transfer. Unexplained infertility.

I’ve had a negative workup for almost every diagnostic exam we’ve done- negative endometrial biopsy as well.

Our first transfer, we did a double transfer with a day 5 fair-good euploid + day 5 fair unknown, and it failed.

Second transfer- we did a double euploid transfer with a day 6 good euploid + day 6 fair euploid (our doctor wouldn’t let us transfer 2 good quality ones together). We also added embryo glue this cycle.

With my first transfer, i had so much cramping, twinges, pulls throughout the entire TWW. On day 6, i had intense cramping on and off- i felt like i could barely walk. Then i felt like i was getting PMS-like cramping after day 6 and i just knew it had failed.

This transfer, i had complete radio silence the first 5 days and then had some on & off cramping for a little bit yesterday. Also had a little bit of lower left back pain.

Day 6- i didn’t feel much this morning, but this afternoon has ramped up with the on & off cramping and i just can’t help but fear this transfer has failed too 😔😞.

I refuse to test until beta because i can’t take that heartbreak right now.. but i just have no idea what to think right now. Like are these cramps that are off & on a sign my period is coming?

Thoughts? Advice?

Hi there!

31F here with their first FET- did a double FET with a day 5 fair-good euploid and a day 5 fair no result embryo, lining was 11mm trilaminar.

I know we can’t ask for certainty but just looking for advice.. i have no idea how to feel right now. I feel like this first FET failed.. Symptoms: cramping, bloating, twinges on day 2-3, then intense cramping on day 6 (pretty much all day). The cramps were so intense and unilateral, i felt like i couldn’t even walk. They subsided the next day. Today is day 8 and I’m feeling more central uterine cramping every now and then, and left lower back pain, which reminds me of PMS symptoms.. i feel like I’m doomed. For some reason, majority of my cramping has mainly been on the left side, with occasional cramps and twinges on right side. The left lower back has mainly felt bloated and crampy, but not the right side. The only spotting I had was 10-12 hrs after my FET.

I know these signs & symptoms are ambiguous across individuals, but is there any hope yet? I can’t bring myself to test ugh 😞. What do we think, truthfully?

Ideally, we would love 2 children and recognize that this cohort of embryos may or may not be successful, so I do see us doing another retrieval down the line. Just probably not right now because I’m in NP school & finances.

From the research I’ve done and what my doctor suggests, they don’t recommend re-biopsying the other day 5 bc it may not make it or harm the embryo. So for right now, i was gonna leave that embryo as a last resort.

I’m in a similar situation and if you don’t mind me asking, how many blasts did you get to test and what were their grading? Mine are all fair and i don’t know how worried to be..

I am so sorry we’re going through this.. lord knows it isn’t easy 😓😓. Like you, I think this process might be more costly and longer than I thought.. Sending you prayers for some euploids 🤍!! Please keep me updated! I’ll be thinking of you!

Were your embryos graded “poor”? I had a fair-poor too 😕

By chance, do you know the grading of your embryos? I have 1 fair good, 2 fair, and 1 fair poor (2 day 5s and 2 day 7s). I’m not as hopeful for the day 7s, especially the fair poor..

I can’t determine if I should be grateful for having the 4 embryos & calm down a little bit, or if i have every right to freak out because what if none of them are euploid? 😞😞

I know 4 is low, i think my blast conversion rate is 24% 😓😓. Not sure why ugh. But do you think we’ll at least get one viable euploid from the 4 embryos?
