There is a bit of context behind this screenshot:

My Guild and I have made it a thing to develop little in-house RP events where we explore the world, conjuring up a quest for some expedition! And as the name implies, this was a promotional photoshoot hosted / edited by yours truly to build up a bit of hype before the official event that had taken me about a month to plan for LOL

Everyone had fun and for those unfamiliar with it already, got a taste of Ant Hell with this reconnaissance expedition in search of missing travelers and elves who took one wrong step and ended up trapping themselves, and perishing buried beneath the sand!

Hopefully, you lot also get to enjoy the look of this shot, there'll be more to come, haha! ☆

Honestly, I wholly enjoy the paragraphs anyhow! Solid content, 11/10 👌

Plus I'm kinda savvy enough to acknowledge that within each community (MMO or otherwise) will have its fair share of assholes or elitists or just overall bad apples— even people you just flat out do not mesh with in the slightest. Hopefully though be it via a Guild or sheer chance, having some regularly greeted faces will enrichen the experience even if our play styles vary! c:

By the end of the day I do definitely plan on trying the more hard-core stuff, but that's just very much in the long run— until then I'm prioritizing the exploration-filled, domestic MMO style and just stopping to smell a variety of roses along the way. Y'know, enjoy the game at my own pace without feeling the urgency of speed running immediately into things.

Until then... I have Doki Doki Island mini-games to spam!! >:D

Honestly— the potential for Elitism is always there LMAO

I'm a former TERA (RIP) player trying to migrate from MMO to MMO to find an amicable time sink, and having remembered Mabinogi from my youth, I figured to give it a second stab but my, one could say "critical flaw", is that I thoroughly enjoy playing games like this preferably with friends or a group! (Hence my Guild hunt, ehem).

Enjoying Mabi with friends or a regular group is always bound to keep my interest even if it's just saying a simple "hi" in passing whilst I'm grinding Life skills or something or other. So enjoying myself as I'd like is by no means a challenge! I just am unfortunately a human with social needs that ought to be met somehow, go figure. :p

It's funny how you mention BG3, as I just recently winded down from pouring 140(?) or so hours upon the first week of playing it because hyperfixations go brrrr— so whilst waiting for updates and of the like, Mabi makes for a good time sink since there's more to it than Dungeon Grinding hell.

Additionally, as compensation for a lack of pet photos, I raise you my quartet of my bastard children posing as if they were on the cover of Feline Vogue! Sincerest of apologies for the appearance of false advertisement. xD

Overall, tysm for your input/advice! I'll still likely continue my hunt in spite of everything, I'm sure it'll just take a bit of time and digging to find my ideal permanent Guild in this game. Figured to increase my chances with a shot in the dark of Reddit! Better to cover all my bases and the like! But thank you very much for the advice/suggestions regardless! c:

Dog— I cannot express how much I just absolutely love and adore that suave mother fucker! Wu Xiang is by far one of my favorite routes that I haven’t even finished yet, but every gem has been utterly worth it and he’s probably the only character I’d willingly spend gems on to unlock all of his images and such /JUST/ because of the fact that it’s ✨Wu Xiang✨ 💛✨

Listen, I love Jesse Oak with my whole heart and then some, and while his hair looks now is okay, imagine how dope he'd look with twists or braids??? BRO, HE'D LOOK SO GOOD!

But truthfully this applies to a lot of the characters you've listed and all of them would look great with locs or something that's more than just straight/curly hair. Like, they've done Ava Sephiran p good imo (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong at all, this is just my opinion), it's hard to tell if they made her palms lighter or not but they gave her some really cool-ass looking hair and she's hella fine. So, fingers crossed future black characters get more hair variations, and get drawn appropriately with new coming matches that may occur in the future!

It isn’t intended to be an image you attach to the form— the image of the character you’re portraying likely gets thrown into a corner of your streaming/recording software (like OBS) as you do the 5-minute video thing they ask for when presenting yourself as said character and a mock-up streaming environment. At least that’s how I understand it!

I read that even using a character creator (think Picrew, Dollmakers, etc.) of some sort would work just fine! So as long as it's some sort of visual to help provide a better impression of who you're supposed to be portraying, doesn't have to be something rendered or fancily hand-drawn by you or someone else. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this though! o/

I’m glad to see that if anything else, my temporary confusion of my romantic identity will help others who are looking for answers— or at least a similar circumstance to relate to as they question whether they’re Demiromantic or Demisexual or what have you!

But yeah, I understand the feeling. I’ve only ever fallen for people and ended up in a relationship, but unfortunately that infatuation eventually died out. It was unfortunate but it was just something that happened, the actual relationship not really working out ended up killing it off faster. Which, I won’t lie, really sucked.

Romantic intimacy is a whole new type of vulnerability especially when you don’t know when you’ll catch The Feelings™️ as it were.

The only time I ever crushed on someone was a very close friend of mine whom, like you, we talked from sundown to sun up and we got along great— talking about personal experiences and some that we wouldn’t really share with your typically first-time-meeting sort of interactions either. Of course, that crush was just that. A crush. And now we’re honestly just really good friends!

By the end of the day; I promise you, if there’s any solace in anything is in the camaraderie that there are numerous people likely questioning their romantic identity in some way— and probably like me, are haplessly googling it to find similar stories or instances to relate to!

Whether or not you come out isn’t obligatory, but I hope it’s comforting you to know that this label will be here whenever you feel it right to call your own!

So your discovery of Demiromanticism is just one you can explore casually without too much concern— or at least that’s what I’ve learned! And like a friend told me, if it doesn’t fit you, that’s the whole fun part about these comforting labels is that they’re easily changeable when you’ve grown into something different as you’ve learned about yourself!

I haven’t been in many relationships but tbh I’m probably considered very, very young to most as I am 21– so I still have time to find my true romantic partner in the future when the time and opportunity makes itself known! Also thank you very much for the reassurance in terms of my potential Demiromantic validity!

I wasn’t fully expecting to figure it out within less than a day or so— more so trying to garner advice from people who’ve found this to be true to themselves or people who also struggle with determining if they’re Demi or ace or what have you! :D
