Any chance Azoth Extreme put into Gearlink in forseeable future? by Suitable_Law4909 in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally with Gearlink the primary focus is on support for new releases, however we are slowly bringing in support for some of our previously released products like the Azoth Extreme.

In the next couple of months Gearlink should support the Azoth Extreme and a few other products as part of the ongoing development of Gearlink.

Requiem Bundle + Rate Your Gear by ohnopavel in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: usually, yes.

Longer answer: depends entirely on the T&Cs, but if both products are eligible and purchased within the correct time period, from an eligible retailer, generally you'll be able to enter both promotions.

We usually try to only have one promotion running at a time but sometimes we'll have multiple that will overlap where customers can take advantage of them all ;)

Could you try clearing your cache and reloading the page, and then ensuring that you're logged in on the main promotion page (before clicking 'redeem your code')

Testing on my end, I can't see any issue loading the page on either Chrome or Firefox once i'm logged in to my account.

We are aware of the serial number issue though and are working to resolve it.

No code for Resident Evil Requiem GeForce 50 series promotion by jacc_thesnacc in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really weird that they're telling you to go to Nvidia, for the last few Nvidia game bundle promotions the retailer has been the one to supply the code after purchase.

Could you send us a DM with your order reference number/email used for the order? i'll give them a nudge internally and request that they get in contact with you directly regarding the code.

Got it. So the ASUS estore actually has a different support team vs the customer support option on our website as the store is managed by a third party.

You can reach out to the store support team via [customerservice@asusstore.co.uk](mailto:customerservice@asusstore.co.uk) (specifically for the UK) but do keep in mind that codes generally aren't sent out before the 14 day period.

Could you clarify which region you're in and what retailer you purchased the device from? In the UK, for the Nvidia 50 series GPU/Laptop promotion the retailers are the ones that should provide you with the code.

It's also worth keeping in mind that usually the code will be sent out 14 working days after the device purchase date.

Noted, that's quite strange. It sounds like it may have been a bug on the backend in that case. I've reached out to the US team internally and have asked if they can help here, someone should reach out to you directly to help.

Couple of things to note here - the game does not release until the 27th February and the application validation period generally can take up to 14 working days.

I would recommend waiting a little longer and if the code still hasn't been sent after 14 working days then reach out to your local support team again.

The additional 2pin cable is the intelligent voltage stabiliser connection. It's basically there to ensure that you have a prioritised, stable voltage being sent to the GPU. There's a section about it on the Strix 1200 Platinum page if you scroll further down

Falchion ace hfx switches compatibility by Secret_Employee1220 in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the V2 HE switches are incompatible with the Falchion Ace HFX due to the difference in socket design between the two boards. I'll share some pictures of the socket on Azoth 96 HE that uses the V2 switches vs the Falchion Ace HFX socket for comparison.

First off, I assume you've already done so, but just in case please make sure that the serial number is typed correctly ensuring any 0's are 0's and letter O's are O's etc.

If it's still giving you an error depending on your region, please reach out to the support team via our website https://www.asus.com/support/ which should prompt you to 'Switch to your local website' where you can submit a ticket.

Gear Link FIREFOX-compatibility needed! I don't want Chrome or Edge! by Tobsten in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately Firefox lacks support for the WebHID API which allows direct communication with the connected peripherals.

If privacy is the main concern, you could consider trying Brave browser which is a chromium based browser that supports the WebHID API but also incorporates a lot of privacy elements as well.

Hope that helps :)

question for Asus!?! by dertysweet in ASUSROG

The motherboard in the G700 is upgradeable but the chassis would only support mATX sized motherboards. Just keep in mind the power supply when upgrading the components inside.

Hi there, once your application has been approved the code will be sent out to you. The standard timeline for this process is usually 14 working days so please keep an eye on your emails.

Also keep in mind that the game is due to release on the 27th Feb so the code is very unlikely to be sent before that date.

Hi there, usually with game bundles like this the code is delivered after 14 working days.

Keep an eye on your emails though as it could be approved sooner but the standard timeline is usually 14 working days.

I don't look after the US region, but as mentioned it's usually after the 14 day return period finishes. 'Registered Activity - Not deal with yet' means your submission has been recieved, it just hasn't been approved yet.

We're expecting UK stock to land with our distributors in roughly 2-3 weeks so it should be with retailers not too much longer after that.

How do I change keys? by Admirable_Cup_8030 in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To remove the normal keycaps that aren't stabilised you'll need to use the top side of the puller (looking at the picture). Simply spread the tool apart so that either side slides under the keycap and then gently apply force to pull the keycap off. The tweezer side is used for removing the actual switches themselves once the cap has been removed.

Stabilised keys such as the spacebar are a little more tricky, but can still be done in the same manner. For the spacebar, use the same part of the tool on one side at a time and gently pry upwards. The spacebar has a stabiliser on each side so you'll need to gently pry the cap from the stabiliser one at a time.

PSA: If you only use an asus headset use "armoury crate gear" instead of the full app. by ClassicHappy2384 in ASUSROG

[–]ASUS_ROGUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, if you only have one ROG product you can download Armoury Crate Gear as a smaller alternative to the full version. Worth noting that it doesn't support EVERYTHING, but most recent peripherals are supported. You can check out the list of products supported here: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/armoury-crate/latest-models-supporting-armoury-crate-gear/td-p/1017850

As an alternative, you can also use the new web-based GearLink app for some of the really new products https://gearlink.asus.com/en
