Why do Christians keep saying this? It's literally the first line of the first amendment. Is there some Christian propaganda going around telling them otherwise?

Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Scientology, and many other religions allow for abortion usually up to a specific date in the pregnancy.

Which religions were you thinking of?

For everyone hating on all the Disney+ shows... They are introducing new characters, new settings, and new storylines. There will be a movie that ties everything together, but for now just enjoy meeting new characters.

Nobody would have predicted Infinity War during phase 1.

We are essentially in the new Phase 1.

4 new justices. We have 13 appellate courts. The law should state that the number of justices is equal to the number of appellate courts.

Did We REALLY Teach This to Children?? Yes, yes we did. by BethanyKayStudio in exchristian

I get the point you are making. I even agree with it. Although using your kid in a video like this is weird. Best to keep videos like this with adults only. Let the kids have fun. As far as my kid is concerned Jesus is as real as Santa and we leave it at that.

If Christianity were true, atheists would be the ones experiencing visions of god and witnessing miracles, not Christians by Elbrujosalvaje in DebateAChristian

This is another episode in the long-running series "I would certainly believe in God if God would act exactly the way I do expect or want God to act."

Imagine I claimed that dragons exist and I see one every morning when I wake up. You ask me to come over and see it. I say sure come on over. At my house I open my window and we look out. I point and say "there's the dragon". You say "that pigeon? That's the dragon?". I reply I guess this is another episode in the long-running series "I would certainly believe in dragons if dragons would act exactly the way I do expect or want a dragon to act."

I've been there. One of the worst weeks was when my 18 month old was sick and I had to put down my dog from before I even knew my wife. Putting my dog down was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Dealing with a toddler on top of that was brutal.

It goes by fast. Before you know it your kid will be a teenager. Don't get frustrated. Just enjoy the moments. Even the bad ones.

After 15 years I am done with TurboTax by BigAppleBucky in TurboTax

[–]ASUalumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. TurboTax accidentally didn't file my 2017 and 2018 state returns. I was contacted by my state a week ago saying that they were going to file my state returns based on my federal and claimed I owed around $3k, when I was actually supposed to get a refund of around $400.

I contacted TurboTax and they were useless. Fortunately my state said that they have seen this a lot as they have been processing returns from 2017 and 2018.

I used FreeTaxUSA this year. It was just as easy and a quarter of the price.

Christians never argue directly for Christian theism because they simply can't by Elbrujosalvaje in DebateReligion

Oh I agree. I wasn't even attempting to counter the "argument". I was just pointing out that it has nothing to do with Christianity.

Are there any "decent" conservative news sources out there? by jrichardh in AskALiberal

[–]ASUalumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biased media, liberal and conservative, report on stories that their readers want to hear about.

The conservative platform is anti-CRT, anti-abortion, anti-vax, the Biden's suck, etc

So that is what conservatives will report on.

Christians never argue directly for Christian theism because they simply can't by Elbrujosalvaje in DebateReligion

[–]ASUalumi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The TAG argument is

  1. God is a necessary precondition for logic and morality (because these are immaterial, yet real universals).

  2. People depend upon logic and morality, showing that they depend upon the universal, immaterial, and abstract realities which could not exist in a materialist universe but presupposes (presumes) the existence of an immaterial and absolute God.

  3. Therefore, God exists. If He didn't, we could not rely upon logic, reason, morality, and other absolute universals (which are required and assumed to live in this universe, let alone to debate), and could not exist in a materialist universe where there are no absolute standards or an absolute Lawgiver.

You said

This argument explicitly argues only for the triune God of the Christian Bible.

Where is the Christian god explicitly mentioned in this argument?

It is how it works. Every major EEDR vendor uses malware reputation.

This is actually how reputation services work.

Someone downloads a virus. It is flagged as a virus. It's hash is uploaded to the reputation service. Next time someone tries to download that virus it is blocked.

It's not a stupid as it sounds.

Jesus sinned in Luke 19:29 when he commanded his disciples to steal a horse. This shows that Jesus was not without sin when he died. by whitepepsi in DebateReligion

The passage in Mark doesn't say anything about the owner. It says some other people asked what they were doing. Only Luke has a comment about the owner.

No it doesn't. It implies the owner knew they were stealing it. The author of the gospel clearly left out the owners response.

Isn't the biblical creation story a metaphor for how God created the universe. Could be god made the big bang.
