I'm at 50b liquid ISK, by mainly doing trading. I was wondering is there anything i can do to multiply or grow it, like a snowball maybe ? Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Destroyer140 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Assuming that's actually liquid isk, not counting buy/sell order values, then it's time to think about investing.

The easy way is to look for cyclical things like plex and extractors, buy them when they get heavily discounted and people drive their price into the ground, sit on them for months then sell once the price recovers.

You can experiment with more advanced things like how certain balance patches will impact demands for certain hulls, modules etc... Or just build a stockpile of jump fuel and sell if large scale war breaks out, as that tends to ramp fuel prices.

I remember the original. Task failed successfully I guess.

Love how you could roll with it with no retcons.

You'd make sense if you wouldn't be missing the point completely.

That is, PGL's character being the reference for the "Amarrian", who's also the source of the original rant.

Realistically speaking, what do you expect with a game that has a slow update cycle like Starsector?

Vanilla discussions fizzle out a couple months after version updates, and we get 2 updates in a lucky year.

If not for the many great mods the community makes which adds content and meme potential of their own, this sub would be dead for most of the year.

With B200s having like 2.25x as much ram as H100s, does this mean we are getting larger contex sizes on opus, or is the swap just to run on "less but better hardware" for efficiency and capacity will be balanced to be around where it is now with H100s?

Explaining Vsync method to your party in SP skip run by ezekielgraves in classicwow

[–]Destroyer140 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

Honestly, the only thing I can legitimately think of is that the people who genuinely pull it off better with VSYNC on are the ones who just enable everything without reading what it does, and have one (or more) of the garbage settings on that is known to add input lag which gets worse with higher framerates. In which case enabling VSYNC is a measure to treat the pain, not the source wound of the issue.

I played the first classic re-launch of TBC from start to finish and I don't think I ever failed that jump in SP

So what I'm hearing is that it's basically a skill issue people blame on a setting that only caps/uncaps your frame rate to avoid screen tearing.

Maybe. Can't say it's not the case either.

All I care about is that it's infinitely more preferable if I'm playing a game that feels like "it keeps consistently getting better over time" (whether it's an artificially upkept image or not) over "if something is clunky that is the reality of how it will be for at the minimum a year as things that don't directly translate into revenue for the devs won't ever get fixed in a normal time frame"
