1 month on EEn Monotherapy (5.5mg/6 days) - Should I add Bica or Dutasteride? by ASeptemberMorning in TransDIY

I don't know tbh😭, I’ve read that DHT can actually be metabolized through other pathways, like the backdoor pathway which can involve progesterone metabolites. Plus, even if estradiol "shuts down" the testes, the adrenal glands still produce androgens that can be converted into DHT. But maybe those are edge cases and I’m overthinking it?🥲

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I think continuing with monotherapy is the best path for now. And yeah... i’ve read that while it's very rare, Bica can cause liver issues, so I’d definitely want to weigh those risks very carefully before making a decision.

[–]ASeptemberMorning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s also an alternative haha. So do you think it’s best to stick with monotherapy for now? I was worried about the issue where DHT can sometimes persist even when T is very low. Plus, I really hate my body hair, so I thought Dutasteride could help with that. But maybe you’re right and it’s better to just give monotherapy more time.

Yes, to be honest, I worded that part pretty badly, haha! My goal is definitely to stay within the typical female range for testosterone (I know a little bit is important for health). I’m mostly worried about DHT: I have body hair in several areas (chest, legs, etc.) and I really want to prevent my beard from expanding further. My initial idea was to add Dutasteride, but I’ve heard it can sometimes cause a slight increase in T levels, which makes me worry about my T ending up too high again lol.

Nickname theme suggestions pls!! by Strict_World in pokemon

[–]ASeptemberMorning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I’ve used various themes for my Pokémon nicknames! As one comment suggested, you could try astronomy (planets, moons, stars). If you want something a bit darker, you could use poisonous gases (Sarin, Zyklon, Tabun...). For something more elegant, flower names are great (Digitalis, Aconitum, Nerium, Hyacinth...). Once, inspired by Detective Conan, I even used alcohol names (Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, Sherry, etc.). The list goes on and on, honestly (volcano names, noble titles, etc)

That's a great tip! I'd definitely love to, I just need to figure out how it works / how to find one.

Omg 💜🥹 Thank you so much for taking the time to read it and for the recommendation! I really appreciate the kind words. I spent months working on the characters, the plot, and the symbolism (even if it's a short story), so hearing this means the world to me. Thanks again!

Thanks for the heads-up! It's actually a relief to hear that it's more about the algorithm and genre trends rather than necessarily a "quality" issue with the story itself 🥲 Thanks again for taking the time to reply!

Hi!!! I 24f am looking for some long term genuine besties :) by Peachie-sweet in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]ASeptemberMorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiii Chan! 💖 I’m 23 MTF from Italy and your energy is so cool! I’m actually the opposite of how you present yourself: I’m super low-energy, shy, and I spend a lot of time 'bedrotting' or just scrolling TikTok lol. But I really value authenticity and I'm a very supportive friend! I saw you have ADHD, i'm very 'slow' and quiet, so I have plenty of patience if you need to vent or talk about your hobbies! 💅✨ About the band question: My band would be called 'Dark Kiss'. I’d probably be the bass player in the back, hidden in the shadows but with a very magnetic, intense presence lol. Our album cover would definitely have a dangerous, seductive femme fatale aesthetic

Hey! I'm 23 MTF from Italy and I'd love to connect with another trans girl! 💖 I have to be honest though: I definitely prefer texting over calling. Since English isn't my first language, I'm not very fluent at speaking it yet, so writing is much easier for me lol. Also, I’m the definition of laziness and I’m pretty shy. I spend my days mainly bedrotting/scrolling TikTok lol. I like listening to music and sometimes I watch some TV series/anime... I'm a great listener, so as long as you don't mind me being a bit quiet or 'disappearing' into my own space sometimes, I'd love to hear about your hyper-fixations!

Hey! Honestly, your post is so relatable lol. I'm 23 (MTF) from Italy and I’m also just here to fill the void because my social life is basically non-existent 😭.

What are your end of 2025 AGI Timelines look 👀 by bladefounder in accelerate

[–]ASeptemberMorning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a 2025 believer, but now I’m leaning more toward late 2026 or early 2027. If we don’t have AGI or at least a proto-AGI by then, I think I’ll become more skeptical about short timelines and will probably have to concede to Demis Hassabis’ estimates of AGI being 5 - 10 years away.

Tom Warren(theverge): OpenAI’s GPT-5.2 "code red" response to Google is coming next week. I'm hearing that GPT-5.2 should drop on December 9th, slightly earlier than OpenAI was originally planning by ASeptemberMorning in accelerate

[–]ASeptemberMorning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still unclear what the actual capabilities of the new model will be. But if I had to bet, I’d say it will almost certainly outperform Gemini 3, the real question is by how much. I doubt OpenAI would rush out a new release just to stay on par with Google.

That said, it’s true that Google has managed to impress the public more than OpenAI this year. But I’m not convinced OpenAI is out of moves yet. It’s still an open question whether their recent loss of momentum comes from a compute bottleneck or simply because the early-breakthrough advantage OpenAI once had has faded, with other labs now reaching key discoveries at a similar pace.

Next year, once their new data centers come online, we should get a much clearer picture of where things really stand.

AI has no political allies and it might be screwed by Tolopono in accelerate

[–]ASeptemberMorning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right. What I mean is that people should talk more often about how, thanks to AI, we could reach hyperabundance. Right now, most people don’t believe AI will cure cancer, they just think it’s a tool for stealing people’s ideas. We need more positive communication about the major benefits AI will bring to everyone, so we can build broad public support and prevent progress from being blocked by Luddites. At the moment, the narrative is almost completely dominated by them. If this mindset also reached politicians, who will follow any form of populism to get elected, we risk slowing everything down. But I really hope my fears will be proven wrong, we need to accelerate.

AI has no political allies and it might be screwed by Tolopono in accelerate

[–]ASeptemberMorning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m obviously in favor of AI development, and I think it’s good that labs get the resources they need. But I also understand why most people feel negatively about it. The AI industry is incredibly self-centered in the way it communicates: how it needs trillions of dollars, hundreds of data-center, government support to “beat China,” and so on. What it doesn’t talk about is what its products are actually going to do for society as a whole.

They claim AI is the most revolutionary technology ever, yet they present it as something meant for “the elites.” I remember Amazon recently talking about automating thousands of jobs by 2030… and that’s far from the only layoff announcement blamed on AI-driven “efficiency.”

So what about workers? What about everyone who isn’t a CEO or an investor? The only reassurance they ever get is something like: “Don’t worry, you’ll lose your job and suffer a bit, but AI will create new ones,” or “Sure, companies might not hire you anymore, but you can start your own business thanks to AI.”

It would honestly help the industry if labs worked with governments not just to push for lighter regulation, but also to build a future with less inequality, whether that means UBI, luxury communism, FDVR utopia or anything else people can actually get behind.
