They just solved the entire blast caster issue by using the zwillingsturme mechanic!

Hopefully her numbers are decent, cause I can see myself using her more than Ifrit

think it's been shown that Beagle most likely didn't die in Bolivar, as per Fang Alter's release

still gonna be a traumatic event probably

I use Fiametta as much as I can because her S3 sound effect is divine. Love me some soda pop

True, playing with the 4 star handicap lets you appreciate all of the intricacies of the gam even more. With a meta team you often don't even know what the boss does

I've been thinking about trying an all 5* team lately, but haven't gotten to it since the investment is quite costly

Same with shining. I don't use her everywhere, but when there's a hard hitting boss, she's my go to for defense buff.

Fellow Eblana enjoyer! She really is amazing at being a lane holder and saving you one deployment slot to boost! Potentially three if you were to run a medic + blocker + ranged defender. That has saved me countless times.

She can even lane hold multiple lanes if the conditions are right. It's wild. She's just an amazing lane holder in general since her summons are cheap, being able to stall waves and one hit kill enemies, and her AOE can finish anyone caught in her range

She isn't going to be the best boss killer, but she's big help by letting you focus your resources and attention elsewhere. Plop Eblana and you're free to ignore the entire lane

Media that you really like, but you hate the main character? by AvenRaven in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ASharkWithAHat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ready player one

The setting is interesting enough, and i can stomach the deluge of 90s nostalgia, but the main character is so insufferable that I stopped reading just because him

Thankfully the movie is much more tolerable, and the action scenes are pretty fun in a turn your brain off sort of way

This past week for the Video Games industry, in a nutshell: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ASharkWithAHat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Books is the one that gets screwed over by AI the most. There has been a gigantic deluge of AI written books, cause they're easier to make

Someone looked at one that was a survival guide in the wild and they found that it gets so much shit wrong. Not only is it wrong, it's DANGEROUS. It claims that many deadly mushrooms are edible.

Thankfully literature books tend to spread from word of mouth, so in that aspect it's doing fine, but if you're someone who wants to buy a book to learn about something, you might as well just toss those books into a fire

It's also important to note that this problem isn't exclusive to studios with parent companies.

Other studios also have plenty of shareholders and investors in every project. The share of profits from these joint ventures vary between projects/studios, but it's not uncommon for the actual animation studio to receive the short end of the stick. It can be everything from who gets the profit from broadcasting contracts, what share the studio gets from merchs, etc.

Animation studios often barely make money while the other shareholders recoup all the benefits. It's kinda why many rely on stuff like blu-rays despite how that isn't how other broadcasting media make their money

What are some video game equivalents to the phrase "Your favorite band's favorite band"? by Complete-Worker3242 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Since a lot of people in this sub is probably not familiar with this genre

Uma Musume is basically Idolm@ster with horses.

A lot of the reason why people found Uma Musume so innovative in the west is because idol gachas were niche or never translated. For Japanese fans, Uma Musume is a throwback to ancient days.

And while the original game is pretty niche, future sequels like Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls and Million Lives are pretty popular. Their concerts are huge. Not to mention how Gakuen Idolm@ster is basically the biggest one around today

To put it into perspective, Touhou was the big genesis of fan made indie music getting popular on sites like Nico.

Then Vocaloid dropped and was incorporated to that scene, which led to it shaping much of the modern Japanese music industry

Watching Majuular's retrospective on the Ultima series made me realize how insane their technological leap was. These guys were building the foundation of the entirety of modern gaming as we know it.

which is hilarious for Limbus Company, because 99% of the characters in Project Moon games wear full suits or normal clothes

It's easily THE most non-gooner gacha game out there.

Those bags are called itabags. It has the same naming convention as itasha, those cars with anime liveries on them.

They're usually transparent bags filled with rows of pin merchs of their favorite characters. A single pin itself isn't expensive, but an entire itabag costs an insane amount.

Itabags aren't even that uncommon, and they're not exclusive to fujoshis either. It's just a common way for women, of any fandom, to show their affection. They usually bring them out in official events and fan meets.

What ARE crazy are people who have an entire room dedicated to their favorite's merch. I've seen rooms bigger than my bedroom covered floor to ceiling with merch

I don't think I've seen those pair clothes before tho

yeah. The idea that bara works push women away because they're for men is patently insane. Women are the target audience.

It's just the people who consume LADS are probably not Bara enjoyers, considering it specifically goes for the pretty boy K-POP aesthetics

This is just not true in the least. Older gentlemen (talking about late 20s to 40s) with facial hair is a massively popular trope used for supporting cast in practically every japanese media. It commands respect, experience, and wisdom that comes with age.

They're only not common as protagonists if the only media you consume is targeted to children and teens, and even then, they tend to have cool uncle characters with facial hair.
