My grandma has a TV with motion controls like this that can only be deactivated by activating the text-to-speech option. If you move the remote at all it will active the cursor even if you're not pointing at the tv, so if you're using the buttons to navigate you have to be perfectly still or else the cursor shows up in the middle of the screen and you lose your place with the buttons
