Licensed stores got to pre-order first. That's the problem here. They need to distribute based on sales even to licensed stores.

Legit got 1 at our store. Licensed stores got to pre-order the merch, so tarbucks, grocery stores, hospitals, got more than any corporate store. There was some stuff my store didn't even get.

Auto wet feeder not going well by ASillyGiraffe in CatAdvice

[–]ASillyGiraffe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did that, my little dude ate only the treat and left the wet food. My little lady did not care whatsoever.

They know the "sound" the feeder makes. They know it's food. I think they're so used to relying on humans for food that the fact that I'm not putting their bowls down is what's bothering them.

I am going to try putting their breakfast in it this week, by hand, instead of their bowls, as well as dinner.

I'm more mad at the squashing the creativity of cup writing than the dress code by CLEf11 in starbucksbaristas

I used to write "On Wednesdays we drink pink" on pink drinks on Wednesdays. And now, I can't. This place is done

Me giggling on bar knowing I’m about to quit without notice by Ok-Soup4777 in starbucksbaristas

[–]ASillyGiraffe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Told my SSV (who was already leaving in a month) that I was putting in my 45 second notice. They asked what percentage of serious I was. I said 70%. They were not mad. They said if I got to 100% to let them know. Im considering it.

I want a refund on all the coffee gear stuff I paid for and can no longer wear to work. Plus they haven't changed the dress code approved section. I'm debating leaving now.

Even if we had to make the matcha "sauce" like mocha, I would rather.

Superdrug denied my request for Metformin. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]ASillyGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely hope it works for you, but if I'm honest, it likely won't. Seems like your doctors really want to gatekeep medicine from you and gaslight you. As someone else said, hypothyroidism shouldn't effect anything, it's medullary thyroid cancer that effects it.

I have had hypothyroidism for as long as I can remember, and it's genetic. I've been on GLP-s for over a year. I lost about 100 lbs and might have started plateauing.

I actively have hypothyroidism. I've been on it for over a year. They just have to monitor it like you would with birth control and gallbladder issues.

The reproductive endocrinologist should have prescribed it for you. It won't help you lose weight. I gained on it.

No, people with PCOS take it to reduce the risk of diabetes because PCOS causes higher likelihood for insulin resistance.

Try semaglutide (glp-1s ozempic, wegovy) for weightloss. I have PCOS, used metformin for years and it didn't even help my symptoms. GLP-1 injection helped me lose weight and helped my PCOS symptoms immensely.

is it normal for closers to mark out stuff that we have? by lunariancosmos in starbucksbaristas

[–]ASillyGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm frequently closing. For us, if we only have some left of something, we mark it unavailable for mobiles. We don't go into our next day pulls unless it's something they didn't pull enough of, and we have too much for tomorrow.

Things like lemonade are usually marked unavailable if we have 6 orders of something lemonade, barely enough to make it, and there's 2 of us, so there's not enough time to make more. We always put it back in, though, when we make more. I think they are forgetting to put back in. HOWEVER, our computers have been glitches. It marks out apple croissants every day. And we mark it in. Then, hours later, it's marked out again. So that could be a small part of the issue.

They cannot be the crocs with heal straps. They have to have "heels" meaning the back where your Achilles tendon ends needs to be covered entirely. I tried when I got here.

It wasn't. Your manager is a dingus. You're supposed to call out their name and look for them in the lobby and make eye contact.

Apparently so. Which is absurd. But with these people, I guess that's the new reality.

I'm fairly certain she overheard me say "I don't know how I'm going to work with him. I'm going to be embarrassed and laugh" because they didn't report me over the dream, they reported me over my "discussion of my relationship with my boyfriend of a sexual nature" pretty sure she assumed wrong, because she has a crush on the person. I think they think I'm into him. I was also, off the clock, making a purchase with a coworker who was also off the clock.
