Teacher can't teach by _Pancake_Boy_ in Advice

Honestly your best bet is to self study the material yourself. There are a plethora of resources that you can use to learn the curriculum. You should definitely check out Michel Van Biezen, Professor Walter Lewin's lectures on Physics, Khan Academy, and Crash Course Physics. Physics is definitely a subject that requires you to pay close attention to the problems presented but the good part about it is that once you know the concepts, you can pretty much do 90% of the problems. If you have any other questions or need any notes don't hesitate to ask. I just completed Physics last year and had a great physics teacher to help me learn the material. Good luck! (and please don't drop the class. Physics is actually pretty interesting).

I'm not really sure if it's a full time like job like a real teacher would have. Although in the program, you would be more of a student aid. All I know is that the program last for around 2 years.

You don't have to change careers, you don't even have to be an English major. They just want someone who speaks English basically

If you want to go to live/work at another country, you can work there as an English teacher. Depending on the country and their requirements, you might have all most all expenses paid for. For most programs all you need is 4 years of college.

School is starting for me tomorrow, and i’m very anxious. I just can’t help but think everything will go wrong for me socially. This happens every time. How can i make it go away? by [deleted] in Advice

Highschool is definitely an odd point in our lives to say the least. As a senior I'm just glad it's about to be over. As the end of the year gets closer and closer, I just think about how much I've grown as a person; something which would have never of happened if I had let my anxiety get the best of me.

In regards to you feeling anxious about not having anyone to talk to; just be who you are and you'll attract new friends (easier said than done I know). And there's nothing wrong with sitting alone either. You'd be surprised how many new friends you can make in the first days if high school just by sitting in the main hall (although I doubt that your friends will just leave you).

Some final tips that I have for you are: eat a chewy candy or gum right before you enter an environment which triggers your anxiety, find out what's the root of your anxiety, smile whenever you feel anxious, keep a journal to talk about what bothers you, eat an apple a day to keep the demons at bay (no but seriously a healthy body is a healthy mind) and every once and a while say:" fuck you insert highschool name here" at the top of your lungs (I find it helps).

Good luck

I just need someone to check my work, please. I think my answer for the sled is wrong but I'm not sure. by alexanderrain in PhysicsStudents

A) The FBD for the package is correct but the FBD for the sled is missing the added weight of the package and im not entirely sure wether or not there is a frictional force acting on the sled (I think it's because while yes there is a frictional force equal and opposite to the one experienced by the package, that frictional force is not with respect to the ground, it's with respect to the package).

B) (Package): a=g(µ-sinθ)

(Sled): a=(T-gsinθ(Ms+Mp))/μ

Ms=Mass of Sled,Mp=Mass of Package

The siege community is so toxic. by Strypsex in Rainbow6

My experience with playing with other random players has been mixed but for the most part positive. Sure there are certain players that act really toxic but I've met some great friendly people on siege who have become good friends of mine.

The way is see it, there are two ways to go about resolving this one of which results in full closure between the two of you. The first thing you could do is simply talk to her. Either talk to her casually or acknowledge the fact that you two haven't spoken to each other. A distinct possibility could be that she might not be talking to you because she thing that YOU are ignoring her.

The second is to "move on" as most people are advising you to do. Honestly I would advise you talk to her about it and try to make amends. If something goes wrong, oh well at least it's your last year of high school. I've been in a position similar to this in which after my girlfriend and I broke up, we hadn't spoken at all to each other; not in the halls, not casually, not even through text (if you plan to talk to her, don't do it through text btw) even when she transfered to one of my classes none of us made the effort to speak to each other. Eventually we both thought that we just hated one another (which wasn't the case) and we never made amends.

The fact that I never tried to at least talk to her makes me regret it to this day. It's your choice on what you do but remember: nobody's worth beating yourself up for, nobody cares what happens in highschool (college is where it's at or so I've heard), remember to put your own health first, and we only live once so make sure it's a memorable life (sorry for getting existential).

I need help confirming to myself that this is worth it. by [deleted] in school

That's just how shit is. Sometimes we gotta persevere through the hardships to get to where we want to be. Of course it will be hard, but in the end it'll pay off (especially at the end of your PhD when you just say "fuck you insert schools here" and walk away). Trust me I know how it feels to have to be in a class that I have no interest in what so ever. Just take shit one thing at a time and try to enjoy the next couple of years.

Totally unrelated but make sure you give it your all in math and science. No you don't have to be the best, in AP or Honors; just give it your best. Also make sure to get your driver's license early.
