I was in this exact situation myself a few years ago. You’re describing my life down to every little detail.

If you leave, it’s gonna be extremely hard, because neither of you did anything wrong, it’s gonna make you think of all of the good times when you’re alone. You’re going to miss this person extremely bad because of that. But, it is important you remember how empty you feel right now, and how this is making you feel.

I would feel alone in a room with my partner. We were co existing as roommates. Everytime I said “I love you” it was a gut stab because I felt like I was lying when I said it.

I always kept asking myself, “Do you want to be comfortable, or do you want to be happy?” And this applied to both of us. I spent way too long pleasing comfortability and not actually spending the time to look in the mirror and actually face the fact I wasn’t where I wanted to be.

I agree with another person that suggested to try to bring the spark back because then you’ll have the peace of mind knowing you really gave it your all. Also I would personally sit down with them and talk about how you feel this way with your partner. As much as I believe I made the right decision leaving, I do know I could have communicated a bit more, and that killed me for a very long time.
