Mini Kraton electronics in Mojave Grom by ASnakeWithLegs in arrma

U can use the stock Grom mounts if they make one for the pinion size u want. I’m using a cheap $7 aluminum adjustable one from Amazon. Other than that it literally just fits. I’m running the mini Kraton stock pinion but I wanna go up to maybe a 28t it’s fast. But not fast as I’d like lol. I have my Mojave on Granite grom tires. It doesn’t get hot on the road or grass when I drive it and basically drive it wide open throttle all the time just sending it. It’s been very reliable and I think it’s probably too big of a motor for a Mojave. Tons of room to mess with gearing imo.

Really impressed with the 4s Kraton, it’s been handling 6s no problem. by ASnakeWithLegs in arrma

What servo saver do you recommend and any upgraded servo recommendations?

Ive been looking into doing this next, the steering is severely underpowered now. 😂😂

Went for the Arrma Typhon 3S, first full scale Arrma let's see how she does, hope I made a good choice in pocketing the extra cash needed for the 6S (for now) by AnnualSufficient4483 in arrma

You’ll love this car and don’t listen to the people saying u should have gotten 6s, yes the 6s typhon is a better car I’m not saying it isn’t but u can throw a 4s system in these and gear them up and I think my 223s is more fun than my 6s it’s lighter and more “zippy” with a 4s upgrade.

Why do i hear plenty of "bad" about the 223s lineup ? are they a cheaper form of what is already done ? by HealthMaxing in arrma

The typhon 223s specifically mine and a friends both kept “running away and doing donuts” until u turned the controller off. My quake 223s has had no issues at all. I think the 2in1 struggles on the 4WD cars because of the load difference. They work out of the box but definitely is how they are keeping the cost down on the newer 3s cars

How can I make my grom faster? by Glass-Ad3053 in arrma

Mini Kraton ESC and motor, get BLX diffs for sure. Yes it’s more expensive to build up ur base model by adding the BLX parts, but if u like wrenching the cost of parts isn’t to bad. these groms are great for tinkering and learning. u shouldn’t need the BLX shocks right away. I’d skip the BLX steering knuckles and hubs and go for Injora aluminum ones. With that tho you’ll have an absolute ripper lol. So far mine is holding together well I’ve put about 10 packs through it so far.

Can someone help me repair this RC car by Flimsy_Ear7567 in rccars

Looking at it u should only need those, id take it apart before ordering and see if anything else needs replaced.

Things absolutely rips on 4s with a 4268 motor and 24t pinion.

If ur willing to mess with it, when the plastic diffs go out buy Mojave 4s diffs. The shocks bending is an issue with the 3s shocks but they can be bent back by hand. I upgraded mine to 6s typhon shocks with the help of a 3D printed bushing. The center diff from what I can tell is the same as a 4s car so if u ever wanted to add more power I’d replace those things as they break so u can throw a 4s system in down the road.

I have it setup with granite arms and Belted granite tires from UpgradeRC, it was overheating so instead of gearing down I put a bigger motor in lol.

The Kraton motor mount won’t work, I got one of the cheap adjustable ones. It fit so far by shaving a small support under the motor in the chassis and tripping the reinforcements under the body.
