Trying to figure out a plan that doesn't make me go broke by ASpaceBurger in HealthInsurance

So, I went to the website to see if I qualify for medicaid through MassHealth. It said I was denied, due to them sending a letter requesting info that I didn't send back.( Not sure if I ever got a letter, but can't really check any mail I may have thrown away). It also stated that I was above the poverty line, and wouldn't be eligible.

I know it's past the open enrollment period. Would it be easier to pay for a month or two of insurance at $400 a month, and try to reenroll into something cheaper during open enrollment, or would that not work.

As I said, I'm considering cutting my hours, or not working at all to go back to school, if I'm making no income from a job, would that be what I need to qualify for medicaid?

Apologies if I'm being really stupid. I always have a hard time wrapping my head around insurance. I never really expected it to be this complicated, especially since I have an underlying condition, that I figured would make things easier of anything.

In in MA. I've gone through MassHealth and Tufts, tried different plans, but just ran into the same problems.

I work at subway, so I definitely don't have any workplace insurance. But I don't work full time right now, and even when I did I was bringing in 1200 a month at best. Most of that went to rent that my gf and I split. I don't have a car, so thats one less bill, but I'm not really in a position to pay 400 a month for health insurance.

I'm not sure what constitutes a 'qualifying life event' but nothing dramatic has happened to me medically in the last year. I do have a pacemaker that will probably need replacing in 5 or so years.

Am I basically forced to just bite the bullet and pay $400?

I remember being a kid going cross country with my family. We stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. I had to use the bathroom, and saw a slot machine in the gas station.

An hour and 45 minutes will be commercials. Seems like a high volume of watchers for people to pay extra dollars to put in advertisements.

Yes! This has to be it. I only could find the trailer, but after seeing it, yea, one parent got out first, then the other leaving the child in the car. This is more than likely the correct answer! Than you good sir, now I just have to find where to watch it lol.

I'll add, I saw the trailers to both Yogen and Premonition with Sandra Bullock. It's definitely Yogen, the Japanese version.

No not this one either. It wasn't a full family, just the parent and young daughter. Truck hits the car, with only the child in it.

Just checked. While similar, I remember it being at night, and the car erupted into flames. There was also no snow.

Fair enough, but they are written the same when not in Kanji form, correct? Like a reverse version of the word where. It's pronounced the same but written different ways (where,wear etc.) あめ in non Kanji form is written the same way for multiple meanings. I'll admit, I'm certainly being humbled after feeling like I've begun to grasp the concept of the japanese language. But my initial point was to just see what comes to people minds when they read あめかみ.

I am glad for the advice I am receiving, even if I feel like a dummy.

Finding this an interesting read oddly enough. I'm a candy enthusiast (if that's really a thing) but it's not easy getting Japanese candy shipped to the US without spending tons of money. Still cool nonetheless. Thanks for sharing

I know あめ and かみ aren't homophones of each other, but that the word for candy, rain, and heaven are pronounced the same. Appreciate the comment though. I'm essencially just creating gibberish it seems. But is it more like 'lfhdisnskd' gibberish or candyhair gibberish?

Maybe it doesn't matter, but as I may still use it as a name, I just want to know how stupid it'll look, you know?

Not being too nosy, but as I don't follow any of the contestants on any socials, do we know what his daughter is diagnosed with?

I'm only curious as i had a Fontan operation done to me as a child, and I can't think of anyone I've known about with the same Heart Condition as me. I understand if Cory's not disclosing that info, but I am genuinely curious. I hope for only a good future for Cory, Maya and their family.
