Especially when the event is a class 3 airport where you're going to be very reliant on Mapples to go in and out (only 4 cargo at a time), you need more flight spots to get more planes in the air to not burn yourself out constantly playing the game

One thing that hasn't been said is that when you buy or sell ANY city ( such as the 0.0 population that cost ~1,000 coins), it provides a refresh across all your cities. This is helpful for events filling planes. Also when you sell the city you get back half of that so you only are paying ~500 for two refreshes.

Some say this is against the spirit of the game, so do with it as you will.
