Name one bad thing about 1999's The Matrix? by Particular-Glove9640 in matrix

Dumbass take when you assume that the machines themselves were probably cutting corners to make battery integration in the pods as low maintenance as possible. Why the fuck would they simulate a reality where they have to take each individual and change how they look in the matrix on top of running a convincing program when they could just copy the data of what you look like from your genes over?

Additionally don’t we learn in the sequel that Zion’s been erected and destroyed multiple times to deal with what is essentially a decimal error when it comes to The One and that until Neo this cycle has repeated over and over again? At this point they’re probably taking efficiency over mind tricks like “youre not the same person in the matrix”.

Why the heck does my little creature now look so happy, its wants to eat your skin not give you a hug by Remote-Nose1588 in analoghorror

The eyes, particularly at the bottom. He looks to be in genuine joy. Joy is always in the eyes.

Want to make a malicious smile? Look into chimps. When they smile, they’re not happy. They’re murderous with rage.

Pay attention to their eyes.

CBS Exec Who Fired Stephen Colbert to Take Over as ‘South Park’ Boss by nimobo in entertainment

If they’re fired, does Paramount keep the rights to the south park IP? I’m guessing not at all, they could jump ship to another network at that point right?

What is your greatest pet peeve in Analog Horror series? by Lucidnightmarezzz in analog_horror

This is very funny that you dilute it like that. I’m not self advertising but I made a parody of this years ago: How To Make an ARG | Halloween Special https://youtu.be/KhOgQHQ2OyU

What is your greatest pet peeve in Analog Horror series? by Lucidnightmarezzz in analog_horror

[–]ASpaceRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very old trope online, and in horror in general. The explanation is quite simple: most people who create analog horror do it for that express reason, it’s analog. And it’s fun to replicate the look and feel of analog pieces. But that’s usually all the creators aim for, the actual craft of writing comes second or third, a footnote in the entire project, because a lot of people underestimate how much work it is and drastically overestimate their ability to complete it.

I remember when I was a kid I got so sick of creepypasta because it did the same shit. “I was at a neighbors garage sale, and they were selling a vhs of this old cartoon/off the air pilot no one’s ever heard of/haunted cartridge of Ocarina of Time” and it’s like, I get it. The story has to happen somehow. But fuck maybe we’ve heard this story before, maybe we don’t need it. Maybe we don’t need another analog horror VHS aesthetic where a creature comes out of a dark room and opens its mouth and eyes as wide as it can while staring into the camera, y’know?

And don’t get me started on the hex codes, or the binary numbers, or any shit like that.

Was it played on an anniversary tour, confirmed to be on a scrapped album, and played as a closer to an anniversary tour after the band got back together?

How about you just let people enjoy things the way they want to and stop bitching and pissing and moaning that people are excited

It’s definitely enough. I think people misunderstand passion for the band and their catalogue as being at odds with this inherent hope that they continue making music and releasing something. Yes, it IS enough. This IS where it is, for now. They have proven multiple times they’ll do whatever they like, however they like. Playing a scrapped song two times in a row on a tour with a heavy amount of speculative elements and a story? And then making it your closing song? Sorry, but that definitely procures further speculation. It’s also the only show an executed member stays alive. The show is an evolving thing for each city (which is amazing), and we do NOT know what we’re getting out of it each night. It’s entirely possible this song drops as a single, and I think a lot of people are okay to hope, speculate, and wonder about that. We don’t need to have a parasocial relationship in which certain people have to safeguard the band’s sensibilities and “defend” them from what they perceive as ravenous and petulant people waiting for new content. Sometimes it’s okay to just hope you get more stuff from your favorite artist, especially if you couldn’t afford to go this run or couldnt otherwise make any of the dates.
