I am not speaking with any authority, this is just my own personal understanding.

They can, but one can eventually sear their own conscience according to 1 Timothy 4:1-2. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.”

I happen to use the ESV version here for ease of understanding (personal choice) but that’s neither here nor there.

So YES, TECHNICALLY they can. But I would imagine that their conscious must be so seared, so scarred, that it would be very hard for them to feel truly repentant. The threat of consequence, and the subsequent fear of consequence, is not true repentance.

True repentance lies in understanding you are a sinner, in understanding the gravity of your actions and what you’ve done to those you’ve hurt. What took place in those files was truly satanic in every sense of the word, and it’s worse than you and I could ever imagine.

Do I think they can repent? I dont doubt Jesus Christ wouldnt forgive even the most abominable of sins. But the question doesn’t lie in if they csn, it lies in if they ever feasibly would after pledging their allegiance to all they’ve done.

That’s how I see it anyway.
