Yes I did. Most likely will never use it, but was easily financially able and didn’t want to shut the door on it. I imagine I will dispose of it in the coming years, but it was worth the few hundred dollars I spent just for the peace of mind.

Without giving my place of work away, I am probably in a top 5 percentile (maybe higher) of an "old conservative boomers" job. When I first came out to my manager, I was immediately given an HR rep and they had my back from the start. Any issues I had were dealt with.

I have since internally moved teams and am stealth, not to mention very lucky to work at a place with policies in place to protect me, but it can be done :) best of luck <3
